I just thought of this yesterday, but what i'm trying to say is, instead of stopping yourself from masturbation, forget about it or at least try to disregard the incentive and mechanics of masturbation. You will see lots people saying that masturbation is natural and/or healthy. But my views stand as its pretty unnatural screwing your hand. Also, try to forget the idea about loving yourself. You should love yourself physically and mentally, but I mean self gratification in masturbation. Basically, if you're struggling with rebooting, do not acknowledge the existence and essence of masturbation and rather forget about it. I think i'm on a two day streak, but in these past two days I've gotten a lot of urges but managed to avoid PM which surprised me, and i'm not depriving myself, but more sticking to the idea that having sex with a partner should be the only way to 'release'. I'm not trying to shove any ideals in anyone of your faces' but try switching the point of view on masturbation as impractical/non-existent/unnatural. Good luck.

  2. While I understand your logic I don't see it being realistic - I'm hardly going to forget about masturbation when I've been addicted to it for a decade. Ruling it out as an option, however, is a more viable route.
