Does taking LSD hamper with recovery from PIED?

I get morning wood like every day and I have a lot of libido but at the same time I can’t get an erection without porn. So I have been doing hard mode for couple of months now and it is going great.

Now and then I use LSD to rewire my brain and for spiritual purposes (for deep meditation and such). My thing is that will taken LSD hamper with my recovery from PIED(porn induced erectile dysfunction)?

I feel like it could hamper with the recovery of the dopamine receptors that need to heal. But at the same time it is doing great work to reduce my urges. There are a lot of people who use LSD to treat addictions but I was wondering in my case is it wise?

  2. I agree and disagree. Psychedelics won't "cure" a damn thing. However, when used appropriately, they do offer a magical experience that brings great enlightenment into one's inner struggles and suffering, and provides a realization of the necessary steps that need to be taken to achieve the change we wish to see. This has been my experience with mushrooms and the experience of millions of other people who have used various psychedelic substances.

Not to mention the studies and research that has been conducted on the effects of LSD & Psilocin on neuroplasticity and the chemicals' abilities to literally rewire the brain and change its circuitry and how the neurons interact with each other. It's fascinating stuff with a lot of potential Healthcare wise in the future.

To imply they offer no benefits and assistance to those in dire psychological need is false. I know you didn't explicitly say they don't, but that's the direction your post went.

There is no magical cure all drug. The struggle is within ourselves and whatever shame, guilt, and sadness we feel. The only thing to cure this would be hard work and dedication. Psychedelics aren't the answer, but rather a medium in which you are able to have a bird's eye view of yourself and your issues and the ways it has affected your life.

Your LSD use is probably fine but treat those chemicals as they should be; with great care and appreciation. Don't abuse that gift. Also, I'd recommend switching to shrooms, nBomb is everywhere and I highly doubt you are getting anything even remotely pure.

Like Hellscape said, don't replace your addiction with a new one.

  4. Not sure about LSD and dopamine. It does cling to the receptors but not sure what the effects can be. Only taken it once. My advise, do some research, careful where you look for your information and also explore yourself. If taking it has any negative side effects then leave it alone. If its really helping you to deal with the urges then fine.

Funnily enough the ones with no drug experience are the ones telling you they are bad. Obviously you are not using one drug to replace another addiction, taking LSD everyday will f**k you up on the long term. Comparing LSD to weed is also a bit far fetched, by this logic you could compare coffee to heroin.

I don't know if LSD will have any direct impact on your PIED but they would help to open you up spiritually, and from there you might be able to better understand the reasons that lead you to this addiction and in turn be able to deal with it.

    Enjoy the trip!

Psychiatrists have never been insane, yet they're more qualified to tell you about mental illness than a mental patient. I've known some people who have been really messed up by LSD - as in they can barely speak English now, so be careful.

  7. Shrooms have helped me so much... so suck it.

    It wasn't real LSD, stupid.

  8. @jarvyjarvison @SchoolOfEngineering People like you are the reason why these chemicals are still heavily stigmatized and why research into their possible benefits is being unnecessarily stunted. Are the millions of personal accounts of life-changing spiritual experiences throughout literally all of human history attributed to psychedelics not enough evidence for you that maybe, just fucking maybe, these drugs have insane potential to heal so many people that are suffering? When you have a headache, do you research Tylenol before you take it? Do you look through all the medical documentation and papers that have been written on that little white pill before you pop it in your mouth? No, you simply trust the government and your indoctrination that this pill will help you. How about you at least give a psychedelic a try before saying its bullshit :D I assume you both have never had any by the way you speak of them. If you have, then you definitely got some bad shit, sorry to tell ya! Go do some shrooms with some people you love and report back to me. You won't keep that same energy.

I do actually have experience with hallucinogenic drugs - namely psilocybin. And my first experienced seemed "magical" and "spiritual" at the time but reflecting years later my experience was just a delusion induced by drugs. It had no bearing on reality. Total crap.

Drugs are for losers. Winners don't do drugs.

Definition of drug: a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body.

How did you ingest this internet porn? Asking for a friend.

  11. I'm a stoner junkie because I want to help people? The drugs you just named cannot be compared to psychedelics. Those drugs are shit and will absolutely lead to dependence. Literally nobody has ever had a "life changing" experience on any of the substances you just named. Maybe a good time, but nothing spiritually inducing... Psychedelics have the lowest dependance of any drug and have near zero effect upon physiology. They are such a unique class of drug that needs to be studied further. You don't know what you're talking about and I'm not advocating for people to depend on any substance to heal. Switching from addiction to addiction doesnt solve anything. However, similar to how a Tylenol helps with a headache, some psychedelics show profound potential to help with psychiatric issues and can be used as supporting agents for an end goal, but you don't seem to care about that.

What are you even talking about? If it can save lives, we should absolutely be doing everything in our power to change neurochemistry. Like I've said, there's research that indicates certain psychedelics can have a significant positive impact on neuroplasticity, the ability for people to learn new things. Neuroplasticity often decreases as we age and is most abundant during childhood. Can you imagine a chemical that could repair immense neurological damage and make the connections between neurons stronger? Sounds too good to be true. Sounds like a miracle drug. But guess what, it fucking exists, and utilizing the potential of these drugs is being halted by public sentiment and people who share the same opinion as you (the significant majority). Good job!
