Do we have a name for non masturbatorial looking?

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Fractured Mindset, Jun 17, 2019.

  1. That's happening less and less.
More worried about the fine art nude stuff now.

Hm, I guess it depends on how long you were looking at it for... Also, don't you have to do the first 2 of PMO to fail?

Your reboot will be a lot more effective if you remove any artificial sexual material from your life.

You can call it 'art' and that's fine, but it's clearly causing some concern for your progress.

I actually avoid reading the paper right now, because there's always sexualised advertisements and adult classifieds. Doesn't mean I'll never read a paper again. Maybe you could treat your art the same way?

Give it a total break for a few months... You can always come back to it.

But right now, the only thing that should be giving you an erection is not a thing at all, but a real life person.

Don't leave any grey areas that your brain can trick you into looking at. It's black and white for now.

In one year i discoverrd that mi brain is always searching for porn alternatives. First it was 9gag nsfw section, then dating apps, then 20 days ago i was doing well, deleted every dating app, but i had kik on my phone, startrd using it and find a girl who send me a pic...

The brain will always try to trick you, it will make you crazy and find all the possible way to get a dose of porn...

  5. Been doing good the last few days.
The worst has been waking up and having random sexual thoughts.

I will throw a theory out there. On some level you realize fapping will lead to misery, which is why you aren't going all the way, but your only half way there so you are still dabbling which is how you end up right back where you started.

  7. I haven't fallen back... but I know I can't keep this up- and so far I have.
I have seen a lot of improvements personally. I don't want to lose it.

  8. OK, so there was a quick recession, but absolutely no arousal and left pretty quickly.
Still confident I'm making progress and can make it through.

Remember the words above when you feel tempted or urges. Make some time to reflect on the your goals and objectives for your journey of healing: the "why I need to be here". Write them down. Then do something each and every day to remind yourself of your "why's" . When you lose sight of your goals, objectives and "why's", motivation weakens and resets and relapses often follow. Remind yourself at least once a day, more often if you are facing urges and temptations, of why you are here and why you NEED to be here. Also make time to reflect upon the benefits and improvements you've experienced. Knowing and believing that the noPMO journey really is working for you will be tremendously motivating to you, so don't lose sight of your progress and improvements.

One day at a time is how we all succeed.

  10. OK, hopefully my last post here.
I think I've got it under control.

  12. Confession time- my issue was better for a while but it's coming back on the eve of my 100 days no masturbation goal.
I think new and increased life stresses are contributing factors.
