this is the same guy in fellatious' profile picture, just stop defending him and protecting him without using some common insight. I would be more than delighted to see how you got your information about alex jones as a "humble water filter salesman". It can be possible only if you live on another dimension as you like to say. In the beginning he might have started with some light stuff, but he got more and more involved with politics over time.

Let me first say, that I didn't read all of the newer posts here. And some days have past since I've read the older ones.
My intentions:
1) to stop a quarrel with some hateful postings which I've found when I looked into the thread today
2) get back to topic, take OP seriously and convince others to do so
3) give a recovery-focussed viewpoint and motivate others

Maybe I was wrong, but my impression was that some guys were still offended by OP or what shedernatinus said in the follow-up, BECAUSE they didn't want to hear anything about exploitation, misogyny and their own responsibility at it.

I'm not the judge over anyone here. I'm just saying: it's happening. You can see it all over the place. In my eyes it's part of the addiction, part of denying.
I remember an old thread were a guy told how an experience with a camgirl haunted him and motivated him to quit (she broke down, cried, mentioned her daughter). He just told his story, it was about his responsiblity and his feelings of shame/guilt. But soon the discussion was about the role of the girl (and other camgirls or pornactresses). Like "is she a victim, a brainless dimwit or a total ****?" - for some guys that's all the categories they have. It's also telling how aggressively they suddenly reacted. The story had triggered them. I believe you can see their own conscience AND their denial in these kind of reaction.

For the sake of our own recovery we should not blame a camgirl or someone like that. On the other hand it's only natural that we have strong positive and negative emotions in the process. Anger is part of it, I guess.
For me it was good to write that post. I feel it's time to deal with the ethical dimension of my porn consumption again. Although my main route (of recovery) is a technical. Understanding (roughly) neurochemical processes helps more than morality and guilt.
It's quite peculiar with us porn addicts though: many bad things that's goes on our account aren't acts we did for real, but acts we did in our fantasy ...
