Day 7.First five days were easy. Day 6 was hard. I had urges but i beat them. I feel very proud. I am happy because i am on right way.

  2. Happy to hear you are making progress, but try not to be in the mindset of trying to beat something, its more about being aware of your desires and feelings than trying to beat them.
When thoughts about behavior you want to stop keep coming back, you should not try to just suppress them, instead examine them rationally, why do i want to stop this behavior, , will it break commitment i made, am I in control etc.
This engages your executive function and allows you to exercise control with allot less effort.

Problem with just fighting is that your willpower is not character trait, it is a result of chemical activity in your brain, this means if your brain chemistry changes you l will loose majority of what you call willpower and addictive behaviors do exactly that - even thinking about addictive behavior releases dopamine and that by itself begins to erode your willpower.
You can not exercise willpower if you do not have it. Similar to how you cant stand straight if you are really dizzy, because you just do not have the capacity to properly position your self in space.

As a result the more time you spend on thinking about the activity the less able to stop you become.
