Daily porn viewing because of boredom - solution?

I frequently look at porn each day because of boredom. Specifically, I regularly check up on porn forums to see if any new videos have been added from lewd/non-nude pornstars I follow or if any women have posted new pictures on instagram (I don’t look at nude porn or sex porn, the most I watch is twerking). I only masturbate 1-3 times a week but I check up on porn forums several times a day. I do this because of boredom. When I wake up I’ll look up porn forums on my phone and see if there’s anything new.

I suppose that I have a porn addiction rather than a masturbation addiction; constantly looking for new videos to satisfy the dopamine rush. What route should I pursue to begin overcoming my addiction? Find hobbies to fill my spare time? Completely cut out porn websites/apps from my computer?

I'd say cut out the the porn sites and apps. Boredom can actually be very creative, if you don't fill it with empty stuff. Forcing yourself to sit with your boredom will eventually lead you to finding ways to fill your time that are more appealing to you. I wouldn't judge to hard what you do as replacement activities. Maybe you'll just end up watching more old movies on Netflix. But as long as you're more comfortable with that than porn, great! But also possibly you'll find more creative or inventive things to do with that time. The important thing is just to leave that time open - don't fill it up with porn -- and see what happens. Being bored doesn't feel great, but, as I tell my kid, "No one ever actually died of boredom."
