Do any of you guys have any daily mantras that you tell yourself everyday? I wanna think of one to help me stick with nofap and I wanted to get some ideas. I would probably look into the mirror and say my mantra out loud before I start my day every morning. What about you guys?

"I am a normal, healthy, man with normal, healthy sexual urges and desires. But I can choose to forgo the pleasure and comfort of indulging those desires in pursuit of other goals. The value of what I get from abstinence is worth more to me than the transitory sensations of masturbating."

"I am TheManDude so I gotta keep going"... just kidding, mine is a very common one but really efective "One day at a time".

I actually learned about mantras during a music/singer-program I took a few years ago to handle fright/anxiousness before a gig. Thought is sounded like nonsense at first but gave it ago and now, since I realised I have an anxiety problem I use it whenever I have trouble sleeping.

She told me to keep it simple, short and adressed to myself (never "you"-statements), which works for me.
Most times I simply repeat "Jag är snygg, jag är smart, jag är snäll" (~ "I'm hot, I'm smart, I'm kind") in my head until I drift off to sleep.

I like how it rolls off the "tounge" and is easy to repeat without staying too concentrated. I guess it keeps other thoughts away and boosts me a bit in it's simplicity.

  9. I use "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner". I do it a couple hundred times a day and it helps me a lot.

You are free now, and have left the bad habits behind.
When you get triggered you take control of the situation.
Because you're devoted to never going back to your old ways again.

  12. to take a leaf from shia labeouf's book.

    "JUST FUCKING DO IT!"

i learned a long time ago that there is no negotiating things you just don't want to fucking do but absolutely have to do. there are billions of excuses to NOT do things, but there are never any emotionally charged reasons to do things. so i simply yell into my pillow "JUST FUCKING DO IT."

This is a good point! I think often we try to rationalize things though pure devotion is what will do the trick.

This one is pretty good. And it's true. It reminds you how it really is.
