Could ED be related to confidence?

Yesterday was a really great day for me (no particular reason, it just was) and I woke up in the middle of the night with an erection, which is odd because I've relapsed like crazy in the last month or two, so I'm sure my progress isn't all that good anyway. I'm thinking that my attitude and feelings that day contributed to it. Any insights in this?

ED is very much related to being anxious, and having performance anxiety.

The mind plays a crucical part in achieving a strong erection. Must concentrate, and rid yourself of poisonous thoughts of paranoia.

Performance anxiety and STRESS in general are bad for your sexual health.

Now, in your case, does the very good day automatically caused the night woody? Maybe you had a dream with a sexual nature?

    Erection = good blood flow.
Stress= reduced blood flow to extremities. Blood re-routed towards major organs in your guts.
Performance anxiety causes stress=reduced blood flow.
Anxiety in general is related to fears one way or another. Fear of not having a good erection =stress=bad blood flow.

    For good blood flow:

-Relax, meditation, B complex vitamin( know to help the body coping with stress).
    -Physical activity
    -Good feeding habits
-Some supplements might help blood flow (read good cardiovascular health): odorless garlic supplements (allicin), l-Arginine (relaxes and dilates blood vessels), etc....YMMV read on it before buying.

But all in all, its all about a healthy balance. Porn consumption is not healthy in the long run, because it screws your brain and weiner up. Good food, good gym time and healthy stree coping mechanisms are the key....

it's all in the mind dude.

Re-wiring yourself with a women is the best way to heal, even if you can't perform.

From my experience, eventually your erections will become stronger, and stronger. Last longer, and perform better. It takes time, but you can see a huge difference in as little as 14-21 days!

Cuddle, cuddle , and cuddle. Eventualy you will perform with a partner. A glass of wine also goes a long way to calming the nerves.

A glass or two of wine is good, but it numbs you a little and even you get a good erection you might not be able to ejaculate.

I think a lot of people expect changes within a few weeks or so, this may be true for some, but I imagine for a lot of people it would take far longer. I once had a streak where I went 3 months without MO (occasional P and P fantasy though) and I didn't feel all that improved physically speaking.

I think I just need to stop thinking about my penis so much lol. I doubt anxiety has anything to do with it (why would I be anxious by myself?) however stress may contribute to it somewhat. College is not good for stress levels so I'll see what I can do on that level.

Dude you're very young lol. Trust me you will recover way faster then you think.

I abused porn for over 10 years with little to no relationships. That was my only source of release.

I stopped, met someone and by 21 days had my first real orgasm.
