    This might be old news to those of you with experience here, but focusing on building connection through relationships vs. addiction may help.

    Causes?

    Poor parental relationship
    Not feeling heard or listened to
    Codependency from a young age
    Bullying at school
    Unhappy home life

    All of this morphed into a storm that became sex addiction, anxiety, alcoholism, over eating and spending.

    Thats my story but I find a lot of the anxiety goes when im not in the addiction but I snack more or treat myself
