Can NoFap be Compulsive?

I feel like NoFap has become more difficult for me in the last 6 months. I have become so fixed on it that I got upset with myself over small mistakes. Paradoxically it means that I now need to learn to not fixate on my mistakes in order to get back on my path. NoFap was easier before I realized that some of the benefits were real. I had experienced them after a few months of retention. Now, the more I lust after those benefits, the further that I pull from them. Have you experienced this?
