    Hi all,

I am thinking of attacking my addiction to P on two fronts - nofap & talking to a counsellor or therapist face to face who specialises in addiction etc. I want to share my problem and as Terry Crews says - take its secretive power away.

This may sound like a stupid question but can I talk to a regular therapist? I have nothing to hide, it is regular PMO but it just feels wrong sharing this problem out loud face to face. I don't want them to be offended (again, it is regular PMO) but I don't know of anyone that has spoken to a therapist before! Would they be shocked etc?

    Cheers everyone.

  2. I say go for it. You have to attack this addiction in every way possible. In my experience, therapists deal more with the results of your addiction rather than trying to stop the actual addiction. It can be uncomfortable to talk to someone (even a therapist) about this, because unfortunately, either most people don't take it serious, or they think that you're just a pervert. The worst thing that can happen is that you'll get some uncomfortable indifference from them, but by just by having another person to talk to about it will help you in your darkest moments.

    Good luck!
