Can anyone explain to me why Caffeine/Pre Wokout is not properly working while being in withdrawal?

I have a hard time focusing right now, so excuse my grammar and spelling mistakes...

    Some info about my revoery:
So I can not exactly pin point where I am in my recovery journey right now, peeked at PMO for maybe one hour about a week ago, stopped, but few hours after I O'd twice with a women...Before that I maybe had 4 orgasms in the past 90 days, but never in combination with P (still peeked at it every few weeks for a few minutes) and currently I don't feel as terrible as usually after binging...
Currently I feel weak mentally and physically, muscle mind connection is low and the depersonalization is strong, libido is also kinda gone or greatly reduced, so I'm probably in a flatline, or about to transition into one?

    About my caffeine intake:
Except for the past two weeks or so where I started drinking a Red Bull (250ml/ 80g caffeine) before my workout, I wasn't consuming Caffeine in months or maybe a year even. Last time I heavly relied on it was back in 2020 or 2021.

So even I tried a Pre Workout ( 150mg caffeine and other stuff) I don't feel mentally sharper, more focused, awake or anything like that...I know it's related to PMO withdrawals, but can anyone explain to me what exactly the issue is?

Hi there. I don't know if it's possible to tell you EXACTLY what's going on... but it does sound very much like you're in a flat-line phase. Of course, we all have slightly different metabolisms, brain chemistry, etc., and it depends for how long you've been addicted to P, but GENERALLY, things tend to work like this:
    • First 12 days of recovery feel brilliant.
    • Days 12-25 bring huge urges, and feeling of tiredness, sadness, etc.
    • Days 26-60 are mostly alright but often feel like something isn't quite right, something changing in the back of your head.
    • Days 61-76 - can often experience serious withdrawal and flatline symptoms. Things like depression, anxiety, crippling loneliness, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, zero urge, insomnia, that kind of thing. HOWEVER - at the back of your mind, it doesn't feel like something is ACTUALLY wrong with you. It feels more like your brain is changing.
    • Days 80+ are pretty smooth sailing in comparison. Generally, things feel at a good point.
Despite the whole "90 days in a row" thing, you do not go right back to square one with an orgasm. It's almost like you get knocked back a few days in the "healing schedule" each time. So to my mind, taking into account your few days of resets, you're somewhere in that 61-76 section right now.

A flatline is TOUGH, and brain-fog is real. But take it as an encouraging sign that things ARE starting to get better. Your brain has started to unplug from P, and started to reconnect the wires in the right places. :)

    All the best,

Just off of reading the above, I would guess its adrenal fatigue. Your nervous system is likely already shot and trying to catch up, and as a result your adrenal glands have become less responsive.

Between the PMO and energy drinks, you are looking at a long recovery unless you start cutting them out. I used to do the exact same thing as you, drink energy drinks and sip coffee to help with my gym sessions because I already had no energy. Unfortunately my nervous system was already in the minus, so all the energy drinks wasn't doing much. You have to be ready to cut it all out so that the body can heal.

Also regarding energy, a tip, if you feel tired, it might be also if you are eating lots of carbs, it can shoot insulin sky high, and it will pickup all your sugars from blood, feeling you very tired. It can be a game changer, if you reduce carbs.

How long did it take for you to heal/see improvements?
Anything I can do besides avoiding caffeine and I suppose stress and PMO to recover faster?
I should probably cut down screentime and gaming also right....?

I'm also extremely sensitive to stress, suffer from insomnia and generally require 9-11 hours of sleep to feel somewhat okay...
Also I'm alone most of the time.

I'm aware of that, but that's only temporarily
Usually I take caffeine 2 1/2- 3 hours after my last meal.

If I could go back and start my recovery again, the advice I would give myself is: the less the body has to work, the quicker recovery will be.

You have the right idea when you say you’re avoiding caffeine and energy drinks. If you can avoid stimulation in the form of video games, YouTube, social media etc your reboot will go even quicker.

I am not saying going cold Turkey, but for every 3 days of gaming, maybe dedicate 1 day to little if not no technology. Get into this habit and you will progress much quicker.

The rule of thumb is, artificial overstimulation slows your overall progress, under-stimulation speeds it up. Overstimulation doesn’t just have to be PMO, coffee and the internet. It can be stress (anxiety, anger, rage etc) as well as excitement and arousal.

The benefits are slow and very gradual. They will kind of creep in quietly but they will occur throughout recovery. In a recent post I was saying how a few years ago I could barely read, I had a stutter, eating sugar or any junk food caused me to break out with cyst acne. Headaches were daily, anxiety was absolutely through the roof. Insomnia was standard with no libido or sexual function. The healthier you live the more apparent the benefits will be, but they will make themselves known very gradually. I would say the 6 month mark was when things were starting to look up, but the number will be different for everyone.
