Being the Background Character

Okay. So I know this frustration is partially from the reboot. but I also have ADHD and have kinda delt with this most of my life.

Does anyone else feel like a background character? Like when you watch a movie or tv show. You aren’t the main character or the side character, your the one who is not in focus wandering around behind the other actors.

Like I feel like all my friends and family are all main characters in someway but I’m not. My story isn’t told, my story doesn’t progress, I don’t get a happy ending, I don’t save the day, and I don’t get the girl.

You always imagined you would be the hero in your own story but you look back and realize you’re not.

I’m just getting it off my chest and letting off steam. It’s been a tough day today. I’ll be better by tomorrow or at least soon.

Does anyone else feel like this?

 

Ironically, being in a room full of people is when I feel the loneliest. I’m different compared to most so to speak because of my ADHD brain so I don’t really fit in with people. People don’t really understand me so the more people around the more excluded I feel. It sucks

 

Yeah I always think of a phrase I came up with. “I want to be alone, but I don’t want to be lonely”.
