Beards and PMO

The short answer is it really depends on your age as to whether or not PMO will affect your ability to grow a beard.

Once you're already older, your beard will already have filled out the best it can from your genetics, so other than perhaps causing it to grow a little faster, you aren't going to notice much in the way of beard changes from the androgenic (testosterone & androgen receptor affecting) effects of NoFap. We are ultimately limited by our genetics, and some people simply can't grow as thick or full beards.

However, if you're younger, and your beard hasn't quite filled out yet, then NoFap could definitely help. Testosterone plays a significant role in how quickly your beard fills out, as well as body hair over the rest of your body (although, on the top of your head it's the opposite scenario, and can actually encourage hair loss). Our androgen/testosterone system takes quite a beating from PMO, and NoFap allows it to recover, so you may suddenly start to feel like you're going through a second puberty of sorts, with added energy, confidence, temporary changes in the depth of your voice (sorry guys, those are only temporary, your vocal chords aren't growing any more if you're past puberty - BUT, at times of elevated testosterone, you can experience some temporary voice changes), more hair growth on your face and body, increased libido, etc.

I'm 23 and so my beard hasn't completely filled out, and I've had two new patches of hair come in on my face since starting NoFap, as well as several others over my body in areas where the hair wasn't quite so thick yet. I'm also supplementing NoFap with ZMA (Zinc, Magnesium, B6), D3, and Tribulus Terretris extract - all of which help with testosterone production and maintenance of your androgen receptors, and so while NoFap certainly helped - it was the combination of all the above that's made me grow all that extra hair in the last few weeks.

 

My beard grows like crazy, When I first went on nofap for a a lengthy time I decided I wouldn't shave until I relapsed... Unfortunately I relapsed so I had to shave but damn chicks digged my beard... I got more compliments on my beard than anything else haha

 

I can grow a very thick beard and it doesnt matter if i fap or not

 

Isn't the "PMO beard" supposed to grow on the PALMS of one's HANDS?

I started masturbation since i was 14.Continued to do so with all fantasies till 22 but was quite away from porn.After 22 Porn came in moderation till 28 with orgasm for a long 14-15 years.Beard is never been a problem for me.I get full beard.the only problem I noticed that some of my hairs have become white/grey and ,I simply don't like that.
I think its mostly genetics and a hereditary stuff.

 

For scientific reasons, when you PMO out of control, you get acne.
Acne blocs the hair from growing. Therefore growing a complete beard is not possible.

it's genetics. In college, I had a very full mustache and an apartment mate who couldn't grow a mustache. One day he asked me how I did it. I told him it was the same way he grew sideburns. His could hide his ears;I still cant grow any to speak of.
Each decade our beards do get thicker. By 70 or 80, we need our razors repaired because they don't cut like they did. In reality they cut like they always have, we just dont have the silky beard we had before.
