God often seems like a distant observer simply watching and waiting to see if we will give in. And that’s why we fall. do everything you can to enjoy Jesus more than you could
possibly enjoy porn. Next time the dreary clouds of lust come over your room, set your mind on what Jesus is doing to you, and for you, in that very moment. Set your
mind upon the things of Christ (Romans 8:5–6; Colossians 3:2), and may your joy in Jesus become too fulfilling, too gratifying, too satisfying to forfeit over to the sad counterfeit pleasure of pornography.

Temptation always begins in the mind, and it always begins as a lie. We then have a choice to believe the lie or to counter it with the truth. That is the mental discipline we have to make into a habit. With every thought, we freeze it, run it by the Spirit of Truth for assessment, exchange the lies of the enemy and the world for the Truth of Christ, and then live in the reality and strength of the truth instead of the lie. If we do not do this, we will begin to believe the lies and fall into sinful behavior again and again.

There are two roads before us and only these two: Discipline and Disaster. We choose which road we walk every time we think a thought. May Jesus help us guard our hearts and minds as we choose to surrender them fully to his care and control each and every day!
