Today I have 9 days with NoFap and I find I'm not as aroused with my gf as I thought I would be. I have abstained from it all, but I'm not craving to be with my gf like I sometimes crave porn. Is there anyone else who has this experience?

  2. This is called a "flatlining". Yes, it's normal because your body is adjusting to hormonal differences and as for only 9 days no PMO, your brain is still not disconnected from the hardwired addiction to porn. You should expect to feel like this for 2 months if you continue to abstain from PMO. Also, contrary to popular beliefs, men also go through hormonal cycles as well because the body has its own regulation mechanism once too much frustration is built up, the body will stop over-producing hormones. Just like insulin that is released to regulate over-saturation of sugar in the blood, the body also regulates all of its homeostatic functions.

9 days is also not very long. It could take weeks before you really feel the benefits.

Be patient, there's no quick fix

Thank you for the explanation, it makes me feel much better to know that I'm not alone in that, although I don't know if I like the idea odd going through months of it lol! I do like the idea of doing something that is not only mentally and emotionally beneficial, but beneficial in a physical way as well. I appreciate the support and will continue to reach out to you guys. Thanks again for all the responses and support!
