Anyone go from forever alone to relationship from this?

I posted a success story a while ago, to sum it up I essentially broke down in tears when I was 24 years old, I had never had a girlfriend and desperately wanted one, I was so lonely and had no friends, it was at the point where I’d actually have dreams of being in a relationship only to wake up so disappointed that it was just a dream. I was addicted to weird fetish related femdom porn and I even acted out on my fantasies with escorts/prositutes. I was sick of it all and I hit rock bottom.

I decided to change my life and crawl out of hell from that day, I was in my washroom at home when this moment happened about to take a shower and get into bed to end what was another porn filled miserable day. I’m not a religious man but I literally got on my hands and knees and prayed for the help and strength in this battle I was about to wage.

I took the best photos of myself possible, I joined a dating app and I eventually met my first and current girlfriend of 2 years and counting. I had some bad PIED (porn induced erectile dysfunction) from my decade + long addiction to this porn and I suppose it was a good thing that my girlfriend was also inexperienced. Why? Well because our relationship we went 1 full year without having sex..her wanting to take it slow and coming from a really family oriented upbringing was a blessing for me because it allowed me to quietly reboot myself for an entire year without watching any harmful porn and simply kissing and cuddling being the most we’d do.. so that when the time did come to have sex it was successful.

Personally for me I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to reboot with a woman in my life, I feel it aided in fast forwarding my healing in a way. But even if you don’t have a girlfriend you can still not watch porn. So yes people have turned it all around, I was headed down a very dark path.

First time i found out about Nofap and did a 60 day semi-nofap (i was edging), i got my first gf.

Usually if i abstain and do a clean run (no sex fantasizing, edging, peeking) attraction/interest from women is much higher, i can't explain it.

 

Personally I'm in a situation where Ive had a lot of women in the recent past but have slowly let pmo addiction take hold in place of that. It's pretty damn demoralizing having to struggle with it now when I know I could be doing better, but on the bright side: I already know that I can and will do better.

Just my 2 cents though, NoFap is a huge step but this alone isn't gonna have women crawling all over you, I don't care what anyone says. Some of ya'll that are struggling to find your way into your first relationships just need to get out there and falter a little. I was an awkward kid growing up and I didn't one day go from being awkward to smooth (I still don't really claim to be, I just make it work). It takes time and trying harder than just swiping girls on a screen and hoping one of them will climb in bed with you. Get out of your comfort zones and talk to some women. Be awkward, learn from it, make other improvements in your life. Before you know it you'll be doing great and wondering what took you so long.

 

Update, Im dating a new girl. Thats a 3rd girl in total in last 2 years lets say. Before this, there was nothing, just those occasional drunk one nighters with a soft D usually So thats for a change... before and after nofap. Different life. I can date girls,have relationship and sexual life. It took me cca 100 days hardmode, than 2 months rewiring in bed with my gf, ofc NoFap as well during that time. And than I had two times 30 days hard mode while dating her (one month I was alone in thailand, 2nd month she was alone in thailand)
