I have great difficulty in falling asleep whenever I haven't masturbated for a few days. The searing tension in my pelvis becomes unbearable after a certain point.
I have the same problem. I used to masturbate to go to sleep, and now since I'm not, I have energy and I'm just wide awake. I tend to just play games on my phone, or read something for a little while. It helps usually. I'm not sure if that's a good way to handle it though.
Things that helped me: -Stop drinking Caffeine (Coffee, Soda, Tea) -Stop eating anything with crazy amounts of sugar -Workout (10 min jump rope every morning, and alternating workouts) -Eat light an hour or 2 before you go to bed. -Get a lot of things done through out the day. (It feels like you accomplished a lot, plus your mind and body get tired) I use to have the same problem. Now I sleep like a baby.
do some pushups or go runninig, but not immediately before sleep. if you run 10k at around 11pm, come back, take a shower and drink a cup of warm cacao while doing some reading in bed, you should have no trouble sleeping.
Working out earlier in the day helps because by bed time you'll be tired. Just make sure your days are eventful and keeping yourself busy. Once it's time for bed, get comfortable, read, watch a movie, or youtube videos, anything that will get your mind tired.
To be honest, when I was at your point of the journey, I had to sacrifice sleep in order to not give in to masturbation. If you're just lying there awake, PMO is very tempting. I would instead do other stuff through out the entire night... Listen to music, do homework, draw, read, catch up on stuff, et cetera. If you have the commitment, you will want to be successful. If you want to be successful, you will have to give up sleep. Now I am at day 132, ~Squeaky Soul
I've endured several sleepless nights too. unable to stay in bed, got up and tried to find stuff to do in the early hours, watch telly, read, hell even do a jigsaw. Now I am sleeping better.I think squeakySoul is right, you might just need to put up with it, but it'll pass pretty quickly.
Whats worked for me is shutting off screens and room lights, turning on a dim-lamp and then going through stretches; arms, legs, core, back, everything. Try and focus on the muscles, it really relaxes the body and the dim-lighting helps the brain slow down. I try and stretch for about 30 minutes.
