What are your little secrets? I have a quite stressful month and should do a lot of work but today I literally didn't accomplish anything because my brain was so busy thinking of porn. I just couldn't stop myself from doing that. Since I am on nofap it is completely out of control! Unfortunately, meditation and cold showers are not helping.
Its really awesome that you do meditation as it can help you a lot to succeed in the nofap streak as it has helped me. So, there is a concept of noting. It means putting a label on the thoughts and emotions that you feel, and then coming back to the present moment, to what you were doing. It really works. The trick is that for a short moment, you are aware of your thoughts and emotions. Normally, that is not what happens. Thoughts go round and round in a loop, one thought leading to another and so on. We are so lost in them, that we lose grip from reality, what we are supposed to do and we create storylines or fake ideas to support our thought process. Instead, even if for few moments, you look at your thoughts like looking from outside your head, those thoughts disappear on their own because you have stopped fuelling them. So, I would suggest you give meditation a last shot and try this technique of being aware of what you are thinking like you are outside your mind. Imagine rising up from your mind and looking at yourself and your mind and thoughts. You shall come back to reality and the next time the thought of porn will come, which it will, it will be a little weaker as you have stopped fuelling it and this time you do that same and so on till it become very easy for your brain to let go of the thought of porn.
Download Audible and start listening to audiobooks about Meditation, spirituality etc. Authors include Eckhart Tolle, Michael Singer, David R Hawkins, Ram Dass... Also, try to meditate in a group instead of doing it alone, find a meditation center, Zen center etc. I am new to nofap but I have been into meditation for a while and it did transform my life.
-Eating! sit down and eat a banana or an orange. The key to that is to eat heathy whole plant foods. - get out of the house - meditate -cold shower -write -talk to someone ( not your partner over the phone, I've made that mistake alot) - exercise, bust out some push ups or go for a run, whatever you enjoy
