You know, there has been thoughts going on in my head for the past months and most of these thoughts comes from reading success stories and peoples who are still progressing with their life.

Now some of these thoughts that have been lingering are

    - Why do we watch P or PM when alone?
    - Why do we not stay with 100% commitment and believe in our self?
    - Why do we break our own promises?
    - What if, it's not so much about how many days you can go without P/PM/PMO, rather what was the deepest cause of it in the first place, and reverse engineering a game plan that allows you to change it for good?
    - What if, when we were still a child and we got taught about everything we facing now with P, what harm it can do, and practices you can do to develop yourself?

These are the thoughts that has been lingering in my mind. Because what I notice is most of everything we facing is related to lust. And one audio book that I didn't finished mentioned a point about "Even though the peoples know this information such as drifting in live by drugs, alcohol etc. , they can't stop, because they don't have self control" , as we're weak in a way when it comes to self mastery.

So what if, instead we continue watching how many days we can go without P, we instead get to the very core of how this whole habit started, and reverse engineer how we can actually change it for good?

We should be able to use the internet with or without filter, without needing to even watch P to begin with. Like even if such thing pops up, you shouldn't fall into the loop of searching again, because its just the same as quick food or instant food.

So what am I trying to say is, we should be looking at the root of the tree, and not at how many branches branch out of the tree. Because where there is a problem in the tree, the first thing you check is the root. So shouldn't we be treating this the same?

Shouldn't we be checking the root cause of this? Wouldn't we have a better understanding what needs to be done if we done that?

What's your thoughts on this? Probably I am just repeating information that possibly already exist on the "yourbrainonporn" site or any other site that shares insights about this matter.

But what I strongly believe in is that we never done a whole lot of practical exercises that trains our self per say. Such as mindfulness meditation, mindful walking, mindful eating, yoga, mountain climbing.

Things that puts you into the present 100%, and lets you notice what you are doing with your whole body. Because when we get into lust, most of the time we lose our self, we are no longer present, we are no longer conscious of what we doing. Sometimes we are, but most of the time we are not.

Nice post. I definitely agree that we need to focus on the cause of our problem and not just the symptoms.

I've been trying to mediate daily and it really helps bring you into the moment.

    Good luck everyone!
