Allopurinol causing wet dreams

as expected while abstaining I've experienced far more wet dreams than normal.ive also been plagued with spells of having far more frequent wet dreams than is apparently normal.
This could be due to hyperspermia which I was recently diagnosed with however I've always had several then a quiet spell but over the last four-five months I've experienced my longest period of having continuously nocturnal emissions.
I've just found out that about the same time this began I was prescribed 'allopurinol' for chronic joint pain. While this seemed to work well I started to get various side effects including a big rash and feeling dizzy etc.
I'm not taking any other Meds so when I went to my doctor she suggested it was probably the allopurinol as all my symptoms matched those expected.
There was one side effect I didn't expect to hear when she went through the list 'have you been having wet dreams'?
I never would have associated the wet dreams with the alopurinol but apparently it's been know to cause this to happen.
I've just stopped taking so don't know the results yet but has anyone else experienced this with this drug?
