I have been addicted to porn for years now with minimal success at stopping. I have tried to stop on my own a few times, last attempt being last year with notable improvements in just two weeks. My first successful attempt was due to me falling deeper into addiction causing perpetual sadness and anxiety along with weaker erections and PIED. The two weeks of abstinence were a success, I made full recovery mentally and physically, but I slipped hard. A year long fall from grace cursed me into the same condition and now I am resolved to repeat my two weeks and make them much longer this time. With you guidance, I think I can succeed.

You have all inspired me, thank you.

Welcome @Yarnilas14! Glad you're here, be sure to take some time to learn about this problem - it will really help in your recovery. Plus, it will take you away from Porn for a while. Read the reboot material (available here => http://www.nofap.com/getting-started) and then come up with a plan for what you will do when you are faced with urges. It has good information and good advice, so don't skip it! :)

Also, stopping bad behaviours is only half the battle. This fight will probably also involve a lifestyle change. So try to add things into your life that makes you the kind of person who doesn't want to engage in PMO. Think about doing:
    • Something you enjoy
    • Something you're good at
    • Something important
    • Something for somebody else, without thought of reward
Don't put pressure on yourself by swearing to quit for all eternity. Don't worry about the heroic act that will make you PMO-free forever. Just get through the next 10 minutes. Get through today. You get 90 days clean by getting 1 day clean, 90 times in a row.

    Wishing you a successful reboot,
    ~Orf

Lol, couldn't reply to you directly for some reason.

Thank you my friend, Today is my first day. Not off to a good start though, struggled with a half morning-wood and that led me to cross the line momentarily but I stopped myself. I will try to do better in avoiding pmo completely. My goal is two weeks atm, and thanks to you, I am motivated even more to restrain myself.
I don't know if you will mind this or not, But I will post my progress everyday over the next two weeks as a form of accountability.

Thank you again, and bless you.

Great idea. Be sure to start a journal in the appropriate section of the forum. Wishing you all the best on your reboot!
