I've known about nofap for quite a while and have been attempting to quit PMO since, with no success; however just over a month ago I left for an expedition to a third world country where we'd camp in certain areas and help the locals by building new classrooms etc. Before this trip I struggled to go for more than 2-3 days without relapsing however on this trip I had no access to porn or any stimulating material for a month and thus I had no urge to fap the entire month.

I know that it was a mere month and many people have gone much longer but during that one month I experienced immense changes in the way that I acted, it mostly affected my confidence, and the rest of my expedition group noticed it too (there was about 20 of us). In this month I went from a nervous, pathetic fapper and after the first few weeks I became a lot more respected, more confident and a lot happier all the time. Due to this new frame of mind I became a lot better when talking to girls (which had never been my strong point) and I met loads of cool new people too that I wouldn't have had the confidence to talk to before. It honestly got to the point where I was talking to a new girl nearly everyday.

Unfortunately I have pretty much fallen back into my old habits since I've been back but I now know that its the accessibility of porn that urges me to fap and nothing else, so all I've got to do now is block porn on both my phone and PC and I should never have the urge to fap again, and also the fact that I know how amazing these benefits are should motivate me even more.

I know this wasn't really a success story but I wanted to share my experiences and benefits with you guys and hopefully motivate some people at the same time.

Hello, the first two paragraphs were really motivating. I have only just started getting serious about this. Try meditating and keeping yourself busy! I hope you get back on track with the challenge.

Sounds like you made some big discoveries. My advice to you is that since porn blockers are relatively easy to override that you either give a trusted friend or family member the passwords to them, or make the password itself something that will make you think twice about looking up P

    Keep on fighting!
