Day 35. Today's been easier than yesterday, primarily because the depression and chaser effect from my wet dream two nights ago have basically gone away. I did leak a little bit yesterday, though.
Bottom line: does is work? What are the results? If it's giving you good results and not harming you or others, it's the right way for you in my book
What i mean is does it have more chances of relapse when compared to streak of letting the urge pass though and observed?
Hey brother. That sounds like you're worrying about the future there. Don't worry about the future. I know it's easier said than done, I struggle with it myself. But hey, it's working for you now, it's having good results, so your experience should tell you that it's the right thing for you. Don't worry about what others are doing, or the future possible relapses, or if there's some perfect right way to do this. It's working for you. In my experience, for what it's worth, it pretty much always works to redirect my thoughts to something other than porn. And I don't think people who talk about observing the urges are indulging in sexual fantasies and just letting them fade out, I think it's more that we can't help them from popping in there, so don't get hung up on them, and the urges will pass. I've also found it helpful to just focus on the actual feeling, the physical sensations in my body as a meditation practice and a mindfulness practice, which helps the focus away from the images and into the direct feeling in my body, whether it's tension or vibration or pleasant or painful, just watching, and feeling, my bodily sensations can be helpful. Anyway, good luck my friend keep up the good work!
Day 6. I am happy. The bar of me involved in life is rising each coming day. It feels like I am living now properly.
22/90...committing to posting on here definitely helps, been pretty tired and a little under the weather, some urges but countering them with the tools of recovery, keep strong everyone!
Another post got me back posting! (it was about smoking - recommened Allen Carr - Easy Way to Stop Smoking - check the Amazon reviews - felt I had to post!) But since I'm back in just want to say hope you good Cowboy72. I know someone asked why you here after your 90 - I thought you were here to help show us the way. (no dig on who asked the question - it's a 90 day challenge but i love hearing from those who passed it). Best wishes to everyone
