This forum is dedicated to people who want to improve their lives.

Becoming a better man is not just about abstaning from PMO. That is just one detail in the whole picture.

To become a better man you have to actualize different aspects of your life. One of them is becoming more mindful through daily meditation. You know the benefits: better concentration, memory, discipline, etc. Very compatible with NoFap!

I have taken some efforts in the past to implement this habit in my life but I found it hard to sustain it in the long run.

This thread is meant to keep myself accountable by posting everyday whether I meditated or not. Will do this for 30 days.

Feel free to jump on the wagon or ask questions about meditation.

Good job, man. Accountability can help us to keep us on the wagon.

The reason I want to meditate daily is partly due to the fact that with COVID, we are destined to stay inside a lot.

It becomes tempting to browse the news, scroll Twitter/Reddit, go on YouTube, etc. and waste time whilst getting artificial dopamine shots, even if you manage to steer clear of the temptation to watch porn.

With meditation you allow your mind to unplug from all these digital stimuli by trying to empty the mind. NoFap is not a magic bullet that will solve all your problems. Abstaining from vice is good. But we still have to take action to actively grow (active vs passive improvement)

I aim for 30 days because that is a good benchmark to incorporate a new habit in your life. With this thread I can inspire other men to follow whilst keeping each other accountable.

Mediation is the best. I do it every day for ten minutes.
One of the best habits you can implement. Keep it up!

I agree I try to get as minimal with screen time as I can. I work in tech so I am literally behind a screen all day. I've been practicing mindfulness daily for the last few months and it has helped so much. Especially when it comes to digging deep and articulating your feelings.

Day 2: Meditated for 10 mins, felt pretty stressed out and triggered. I feel more focused and at peace now that I meditated.

I'm going to join late if that's ok? I'm new here and I think if I'm going to make it to my goal of giving up PMO I need to work on strategies to redirect my energy, so I'm going to try mediation and a 30 day challenge seems perfect for me. Any tips or suggestions are welcome.

    So, Day 1/30.

You are more than welcome to embark this challenge.

There is really no 'time limit' to join, everyone is free to use this thread as a tool to start incorporating this habit. This thread is mainly to keep myself and other guys accountable.

I personally mediate for 20 mins and do it while standing. I stand because that increases blood flow and is better for posture.

If you are a beginner I would start meditating for 10 mins and then build your way gradually up (e.g. 12 mins in the second week, etc.)

I'll post more on meditating soon when I have more time. I'm sure that some guys here are also willing to give you tips
