8 down, 22 to go. What bothers me is that where I live, carefue (due to covid19) is imposed for a couple of weeks. You cannot even play basketball outdoors.Courts are locked with chains. It's insane. Locked up in the house is not a good allie to this fight of ours. Anyway, peace out brothers and sisters
Day 5/31 relapsed, gonna add one more day to the challenge Day 6/32 Checking in Date: Nov 6, 2020 Time: 10:44am
Dude, you should really start from scratch. All your progress is lost, so no point in just adding one more day to the challenge. I mean, that’s what I think. That way you’ll get to the end of the challenge, but without spending more than 5 days straight or so without PMO. Think about it, man.
I’m doing a immediate mode of nofap, to restart the whole thing from scratch would be demoralising for some people. A relapse doesn’t meant all your efforts are wasted, but going on a relapse binge for 2 to 3days does greater impact on your progress. I’m not at the stage of hardcore mode of nofap, where you reset when you relapse. Read up this Reddit thread to know more about relapse. Hope it will help haha Happy Friday man! https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/comments/1mpgt2/a_relapse_does_not_mean_a_complete_reset_dont/
......But just imagine you make it through this most difficult circumstance, then No PMO will be a piece of cake for you.
Everyone is free to do this NoFap thing in a way that works for them, but I agree with @Pyekcra on this one. If you have the mindset already that starting from scratch after 2 days is demoralising, then imagine how demoralising it will at Week 6 with that same mindset. It is true that a relapse is different from a relapse binge, however in my opinion this only holds true for streaks more than 2 days in length. If a person went 7 days NoFap, and then relapsed on the 8th day, sure it's not a complete reset unless they binge. But going 2 days, then relapsing, then another 2 days, then relapsing, is still feeding the addiction and reinforcing the neural pathways. Again it's your decision and your life, there is no perfect way to battle this addiction, but there is common sense. Good-luck in your journey and hopefully you take this as the advice it was meant to be.
I understand, and hope it works out for you that way! I mean, the thread you sent says to restart the counter, but I guess we all do it the way we think it’s best for us! Those people who think restarting is demoralizing, in my opinion, should understand that it is a part of the game and it’s ok. We all relapse and we all start over when we have to! It is frustrating and it sucks, but we also knew it would probably happen because this thing we’re doing is freaking hard, man! Just be careful not to go on a different binge of relapsing from time to time! And please don’t take what I’m saying the wrong way! Happy Friday for you too!
6/30 Last night was ok, thankfully! Ever since I joined this challenge this is the first time I get passed day 5.
