25+ Relapses Can’t Ask Anyone IRL for Help

    I have been addicted for 2 years now. I have not been able to fully prevent myself from relapsing. What options do I have to preserve my anonymity and safety?

    I really want to end this soon. I really don’t want my testosterone levels to tank more. I’m not sure if I will still feature attractions to real women anymore.

    As of right now, I have discovered that accountability software will not work in my case due to my knowledge of their workings.

    Fasting + Vegetarian diet is an easy way to go about NoFap (from my experience).

    I abstained from food and water every day from sun-up 'til sun-down for 3 months straight for the fasting and ate mostly plant foods. I did this two different times in the past and got easy months-long streaks.

    The reason I'm only on day 1 right now is because of taking a testosterone booster, eating lots of meat, and taking mind-game shrooms (both times), which made resisting urges basically impossible. But otherwise doing the above works wonders.

    Make sure you search up what plants and grains to eat on a daily basis so you know you're getting all the nutrition you need if you try this.

    All in all, fasting gets you the discipline you need to resist urges, and a plant-based diet keeps your urges low when you get them.

    First I'd say get out of your parent's basement and get your own place. I don't know your circumstances but that's definitely not a good way to live your life.

    No problem bro. Also, be sure to limit foods high in potassium (like figs, dates, bananas, etc) because the more potassium you have, the more your testosterone will increase, which in turn increases your chances of being horny. However you do still need the potassium (very important) to help absorb nutrients from other foods, so potatoes are great because they provide a solid plethora of other nutrients as well and from my experience at least, they don't make you horny like dates and bananas for some reason do. If you need any more tips on going plant-based, feel free to ask. Good luck man.

    What's up bro.

    Most of my knowledge about fasting comes from YouTube and from articles from internet searches (using DuckDuckGo specifically, since Google is known for manipulating results).

    Thomas DeLauer is a pretty good YouTube channel to get information about different forms of fasting, along with videos about healthy eating. Vegetable Police did an interesting video where he talked about his experience with a 4 day dry fast and how he completely healed a number of health issues in the process.

    By the way, if you ever do an extended dry fast, I highly recommend drinking a decent amount of water the day before starting to ensure that your system is hydrated enough. Also, be sure not to consume too much water since of course too much anything is bad, which is also the case with (surprise surprise) consuming too much water.

  13. @punch54 I had heard that fasting reduces urges (especially from people who are heavily into faith). So I tried that, actually about a year ago, for the first time. At the beginning I did about 16 hours of water fasting a couple times a week. Here and there. Moved to 18 hours. Then towards the end of the year I started doing longer ones like 24 hours. And one or two 28 hour ones. Then I started doing research, watching people's experiences on YT, also listening to Dr Berg and even the monkey strength guy that you are referring to lol he is funny.
    Mostly I would watch fasting videos while I was going through a fast. That would spurt me on. Also I have a passion for fitness and seeking knowledge on everything related to that. Around that time I actually also started to cancel my gym membership and do my exercise outside, at least for this year.
    Yes and I have also been reading some books on fasting. For example the The miracle of fasting by Dr. Bragg. I know this is probably not book you read in the university or something like that. But it's core message about fasting being healthy in so many ways, autophagy etc. is proven. And I read it to gain motivation and as a reminder. For studies and stuff, yes I have recently came across DeLauer too. Good content for sure.
    Other books I read about fasting are more from a faith perspective. The fasting you did with sun up till sun down is from a faith aswell. People of faith do it for one month once a year. So it's interesting to hear that you did something like that for 3 months. Hats off, man!

    Been there did that felt hopeless and ugly and like a slave . You know what feels better , feeling free for not having to do porn, having more time because I'm not in front of browser for hours , feeling better and not yucky from the shadows of doing porn . Porn is poison . One peak is too much . I would feel stressed ,do porn find temporary relief and then guilt and yuck kick in , and guess what then more stress .you can do this !
