I think you mean reset, not relapse. You determine your own goals. If you want to try to M without P or P without O or whatever other permutation of the sequence, you are welcome to try. Some people just have to learn for themselves. If you want to take a shortcut, though, we have learned the vast majority, that is, virtually all addicts, can’t do one without the other two. It even goes for guys in committed relationships having real world sex with a real world partner: you need a period of abstinence to break up addictive behavior.

 

Well, NoFap is just a community with more or less likeminded individuals with opinions concerning pornography. But different people will have different mindsets and goals. Some people here seem to make a porn free life too much of a "challenge" instead of a daily healthy lifestyle. Dont get me wrong, if gamifying your life helps you, do so, but of course the main goal is so much deeper and more profound than that.
I assume you are here because you have a problem with pornography consumption. Everything that will help you overcome this is a success. Abstinence is just one of many parts to achieve this sort of success. On the other hand everything that will reinforce your addiction and problem is a relapse. This could be for exampel falling back to harming behaviour but is not limited to that. Also I strongly believe that a porn free life is achieved through learning from your mistakes. Therefore one should not demonize their so called failures and instead figure out a way not to repeat them. Some people gained through so called relapses more than others had from 90days abstinence.
So you have to find out for yourself what your problem is and then figure out what will work out. I wish you all the best.
