18 Year old male trying to stop watching P for 30 days

    Hello, I'm a new member of the community since i found it yesterday after M to O via P. Im adicted to P. I've started watching it since i was 13 (i know, such a disgrace) and realized that i was addicted to it 1 year ago. More than realizing, i admited that P was destroying my brain since i was so little. I've tried to reboot myself once, but couldn't abstain for more than 1 week and relapsed. Since the, I've entered this vicious cycle one more and i cannot stop it although i know i shouldn't be doing this. So, I'm hoping to get rid of my P desires and try, as my first goal, to not M with P for 30 days.

    Another issue is that P destroyed my sexual life. I'm 18 and i cant belive that is so hard for me to attain the orgasm with my partner. She can, but i don't. And not only this but keeping it hard is begining to be a problem when we are in intercourse. Somehow, since i dont have any biological disfunctions, P has affected me in my sexual performance and if i have this problems now, i can't imagine 10 years later...

    Fortunately, i found this site and believe that it will help me recover from this sickness that is affecting me this much.

    I would also like to mention that i rarely objectify women and feel akward in social places. I've seen some people having this issues because of P.

    Well, that's all. I'll keep this thread updated as i'm in the fight for beating my P desires.

    Oh, and since i have a girlfriend, should i not have any kind of sexual relation when im with her?

    You should not be ashamed to have sex with your girlfriend as long as you avoid porn. Sex is very important in a relationship as long as you actually love them and I think your girl would like it too. Just remember to love and respect both yourself and her. All the best.

    It is better to avoid sex while you are trying to heal from this addiction. Basically, your problems stem from the overproduction of dopamine. The greatest release of dopamine occurs for sexual reasons. At this early stage, having sex will simply slow down your recalibration of the reward circuit in your limbic system. For the quickest, most effective recovery from your problems, it is recommended that you go hard mode - no sexual stimulation of any kind. Best wishes: IGY. :)

    Hey man, I'm new too and in a very similar situation. Introduced to porn at a young age, problems with my girlfriend (now ex, not because of porn just other reasons) and I just wanted to say good luck, you'll be able to do it with all this support.
