    What a beautiful post! Thank you sharing this. Actually what you mention is the foundation of The Chimp Paradox, a book by a UK psychiatrist about mind management. The limbic system is the 'Chimp mind' and our real self is the executive mind. Some elite athletes use this system of thinking to go on to win gold medals in Olympics and achieve other extraordinary feats...we can definitely learn from it!
