Y'know, a fellow member here would often advise me to ask myself 'Where is this feeling coming from?'. Took me a while to realize, but it pays to step away from our feelings (esp when they're bad) and see more clearly what those feelings really are about. Don't reject feelings. But also try to lift yourself up with upbeat music, working out, or whatever you think might help you feel better.
Depression will pass with time, become less, and less a problem if it mostly caused by addiction. No addiction = no depression, or at least a lot less!
