Day 6 here and i have been dealing with nothing but sleep issues. I definitely feel like I have more energy already and after making this a ritual every night for 10+ years I imagine my body just needs more time to rewire. I have attempted to go to bed at a reasonable time, I've always been a night owl but this week around 11pm and if I do fall asleep its maybe 4 or 5am and for some reason I will only get a few hours and then I'm up for good. Could be anxiety as well or both? Any advice or similar experiences during the first week? I have been doing the cold shower in the morning, and I think tonight I'm going to start a routine by doing a quick one every night before bed.

Also, something I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with. Over the years, I have noticed this and always assumed it had to do with masturbation. But I constantly deal with stream issues when peeing. Obviously we all know it's hard to pee with an erection. But I'm talking flacid, Nothing too serious, but just when you think youre done, but I've learned to give it a few more shakes to make sure it's all out, and sometime it sure enough surprises you. Does this have something to do with the semen blockage buildup I guess that accumulates? Any similar experiences?
    Thanks!

For insomnia, you should see a doctor because wanking doesn't give insomnia. Peeing issues is probably foreskin if you got it.

Thanks....I am only on day 6 here and I haven't really had too many issues with sleep before, it was just a nightly ritual to release the energy to relax before bed, so I just wonder if at this stage my body feels like it's got too much energy or is waiting for me to release. I suppose it will take time, but I'm not about to call full blown Insomnia to see a doc just yet. The foreskin is retracted although I guess with the masturbation it appears to be kind of shriveled in a mess towards the top but it's not directly getting in the way of any flow, wish I knew how it looked years ago...

Do intense exercises to release your physical energy in a more productive and healthy manner to avoid wanking. Bike rides and calisthenics will do the trick.

Are you serious? I have extreme insomnia for 7 months already. Wet dreams, sex dreams and nightmares. Tons of people are reporting it.

Of course insomnia can have other reasons, but if you have nothing else going on, it is probably PMO withdrawal.

Also the peeing issues. You can go check your prostate but they probably will find nothing. I have peeing issues too, included frequent urination. It is also PMO withdrawal. Probably has to do with tension and anxiety in your body due to withdrawal.

Nah I'm not serious, I just say things to piss people off, of course I'm serious. I'll have to research PMO withdrawal more before giving advice, but focus on the individual who needs help, not crap advice.

As for the insomnia I think you should be seeing a doctor, too. But be careful! Most doctors tend to just prescribe medication, I don't think taking strong medication the best thing to do if you're trying to get rid of an "addiction".
I am on day 12 and have been having similar problems. Tonight, for example, I woke up at around 4, horny as hell and with a raging boner. It was difficult to resist.
Also I wake up earlier, having a lot of energy and feeling tired at the same time. This already got better over the last 5 days though, so I'd assume there's hope for you, too.

But mind this: It is (according to my doctor, whom I consulted concerning my nofap adventure) EXTREMELY IMPORTANT you have an erection from time to time, best on a regular basis, like e.g. at night. If you don't, you're likely to develop an erectile dysfunction. Again, according to my doctor. He also said, though, that it's a myth there would be any kind of semen buildup whatsoever in your balls if you don't wank. So masturbation ist not a must, having a boner is.
I can only recommend to consult a doctor if you start nofap. After all they are experts on health, so it won't hurt.
On the other hand, I'm not a nofap hardliner. I think developing a healthy relation to your sexuality is important, and that includes abstaining from porn, but not from sexual thoughts. This is not about punishing yourself imo.

    As for the peeing issues:
Have you had yours even before nofap? If yes, see a doctor. If no but you're concerned anyway, see a doctor.
I have the feeling that since I started nofap I can't pee as strongly as before. I never had issues with peeing and wouldn't even call that one, but since I started I have the feeling that even though I drink a LOT, I don't have to pee nearly as often as I should have to.
Does that make sense? Anybody else experience this? Maybe I just sweat more...

    Good luck with your adventure!

Doctots can figure out some standard diseases. They have no clue about pmo addiction and withdrawal symptoms. Even neurologists.

You might have an enlarged prostate if you are having trouble peeing. Might be time for the doctor and a DRE. Be forewarned if it is swollen the DRE will make you want to leap in the air. Easy to treat.

i wouldn't say I have trouble peeing, it's just at the end seems like it plays tricks on me to where the finishing shake isn't actually the last of it so I proceed with caution to make sure I give it a few more but even then I'll zip up and a short burst will leak. Idk it's bizarre but wouldn't hurt to get the prostate checked out

Well, when it comes to addiction it's probably best to see a psychotherapist, except you want to tackle the problem all on your own.
The information my doctor gave me was purely physiological, so I only related to that aspect.

And yes, have it checked out OP, even though it sounds like the normal "last drop" phenomenon to me ;)

A therapist will help you dealing with your problems which led to addiction. But he won't be able to treat your insomnia and peeing issues too.

Even if it's a voiding issue that's most likely prostate related

Doctors say alot of things that are plain nonsense, a doctor told me I would have to take thyroid medication for the rest of my life. After doing research I made dietary changes and on my next checkup was told my numbers were perfect , and I never took a pill. I rarely see a truly healthy looking doctor. Why would I trust my health to one.

If you were over 70, you would be totally normal, but you're not. It certainly sounds to me like prostate issues. Have you had it checked out? One of the pills that helps with prostate problems President Trump is taking to help with hair growth. He may be killing 3 birds with one stone. In addition to helping with hair loss and urinary problems, it can also put an end to libido.
