Good afternoon everyone. I'm new to NoFap, but have been in serious withdrawal mode for 4 weeks now. Began the process of abstaining from masturbation since January 4, 2017, and it's far more difficult to reboot the brain than I could possibly have imagined. And to top it off, in my second week, I traveled for a week to Punta Cana, and bore witness to a plethora of beautiful women, so that did not make matters any easier. But I made it through and had a great time as well. Although I have enjoyed the occasional viewing of porn scenes, almost exclusively of Audrey Bitoni, I can honestly say I don't have a porn addiction, but rather a masturbation addiction. My stimulation comes rather mostly from other sources, but porn is assuredly one of those sources. Anyways, thanks for letting me in on this community and I hope I can give back as much as I can receive. Cheers. The Wooden Buddha.
Welcome to the NoFap community. Congratulations on 4 weeks, WOW! Here are some strategies that may be helpful: Get an accountability partner here. Start a journal here, select your age group and Post New Thread. It's important to replace the bad habit of PMO with a good habit. Some suggestions: Read articles in a field you are interested in. Learn time management. Learn about self confidence and motivation. Take online courses. Learn about self confidence and motivation. Read a self help book. Go out and socialize. It's also important to be strong physically: Eat well. Drink about 2 liters of water per day. Exercise for 30 minutes each day. Get at least 6-7 hours of sleep. Many have found meditation to be helpful--it can take the place of PMO time and help your physical, psychological and spiritual health. Start with 5 minutes, gradually increase to 20 minutes, once or better twice a day.
I looked at the AP section, but I'm too much of a Lone Wolf. But if it helps others, more power to them. As for the Journal, and the rest of your suggestions, I'm intrigued. I'll look into those. Thanks WB
