Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone else suffers from horomonal acne caused by masterbaition? Was this like some type of motivation for you to stop? This is one of the main reasons I want to stop PMO. I'm praying that it will clear my skin.
I (Thankfully) haven't suffered from much acne at all, although I have noticed that my complexion seemed to be worse when I was in the middle of my little PMO stint. Do note that this might be because you feel less confident if you masturbate a lot, and therefore would look at yourself in a negative light. Just my two cents!
Hello, I am a 20 year old male. I had struggled with moderate/severe acne since I was probably 15. I had been PMO'ing since about then as well. I tried going to a dermatologist and I tried every cream, pill, wipe and everything else under the sun. All the wile still PMO'ing. So for a New Year's resolution this year I decided to give up PMO and guess what? I now have the clearest skin that I have had since I was little. To test the theory I PMO'd and my acne came back. Now I have been PMO free for almost three weeks and my face is completely clear. Besides my face being clear I feel like a new man, so much more energy and so much more happy. Yeah, the relationship between PMO and acne may not be scientifically linked for everyone, but a connection is possible. We should add that to the list of benefits that accompany nofap lol.
I think the notion that masturbation causes acne is bullshit. You just have acne. Period. The end. I've been masturbating for well over a decade, and never once have I had any acne as a result. Like I said, bullshit.
That is the same sort of bullshit logic where people say smoking doesn't kill you - 'my dad smoked 40 a day and lived to 95'. Just because it didn't happen to you FGG, does not mean it doesn't happen to some others.
My point is this: so many of you people on here post threads about shit that has nothing to do with masturbation. In fact, it seems that so many of you view masturbation as the source of your problems that you don't stop to think about other factors. For instance, it could be genetics (the acne gene is hereditary), or it could be bad diet, poor hygiene, and so on ad infinitum.
"you people" - is that everybody else except you? I agree, it could be any of the things you say. Equally, it could be masturbation. There is no need to be so abrasive and dismissive.
Acne effects everyone different, so for you to say that masturbation does not affect acne that is bullshit. For you, masturbation and acne may have zero relation but for others it may make a huge difference, like it did in my case. Don't call bullshit on somethig until you know 100% about what you're talking about. Just my opinions.
I have always found a connection between masturbation and acne. The times I stopped it seemed to clear up some and when I was fapping the heaviest the breakouts were the most severe. My skin was pretty clear up until last week so I'm not sure now. I'm having a minor breakout but there are other factors besides PMO that influence acne.
