What happens if you stimulate yourself without ejaculation

    I have been conditioning my mind to withstand stimulation without "jumping to conclusion"
    I want to last longer in bed. PE has been a problem since i was a teen.
    One month into this practice ( doing it daily on average), i am starting to experience severe insomnia.
    Is it related?
    Edging without porn. Is edging without porn still as harmful as with porn?

    My personal opinion is that it is just as harmful (and potentially more so). If you are objectifying women - either making up scenarios in your head or seeing them on a screen somewhere - you are only continuing the improper wiring in your brain. We were all born to be attracted to real people, but the addiction changes all of that. It makes it so that real people don't 'do it' for us any longer.

    And for me, edging is worse than porn. It just turns on this very slow drip. My addiction wants to be fed. A lot. And so it forces me to feed it dopamine for as long a time as possible. I have actually tried to 'get off' as quickly as I could, but the addiction just forces me to slow down. What I want to be over in 2 minutes takes 2 hours. It's not that I can't jump to the conclusion due to something like a physical desensitization, but rather because my brain keeps pulling back on the reins every time I get close.

    If you asked me if I was willing to start having insomnia or PE in exchange for having this addiction, I'd take either in a heartbeat. I do feel for you. But those things are (usually) much easier to correct than this addiction.

    Yeah edging is just as bad as full on pmo. It’s a trick.

    Don’t you guys get blue balls pain from edging (or just getting excited/erect without a release)?

    Edging without porn was harmful for me. Almost every time I suffered from brain fog.

    I realized that objectification is harmful and can lead to PE. You even fail to understand your partner when you are objectifying her. You fail to attune with her heart if your mind is full of her flesh alone.

    PE happens when your love is rooted in lust. You're more likely to not overstimulate yourself if your lust is rooted in love.

    If you are suffering from PE, I'd highly recommend reading "Love Satisfies" by Keepitupjohnson.

    The book was a huuuuge game changer for me.

    Edging with or without porn, with or without ejaculation is super harmful. Propably the worst thing one can do is EDGING! edging keeps dopamine elevated as long as one keeps doing it. When edging stops, dopa goes down below baseline. I know. I did it. It's very bad thing to do. Don't do it. Like never!
    It drains your brain from dopamine. Life starts to feel dull. Nothing interrests you. You start to feel tired. Annoyed. Almost depressed. Libido starts to weaken.

  7. I would not recommend edging, especially edging while viewing pornography. It's like pointing a loaded gun to your head and saying to yourself, "I won't pull the trigger." You run the risk of a relapse

    Never have experienced this especially when I edge. If I went for longer periods of time and then go back to it a few minutes later which I haven't done at all recently. Then pain proceeds to occur never Blue balls though..

    Although edging without porn seems to be more harmless and healthier, which is basically a fact, it has a much greater potential for addiction, bigger than classic term of pmo, from my experience, because when human creativity is dissolved to be able to create according to its nature, it then and otherwise it has no limits, it is not rational, it can create anything, it can be very dangerous, and yet none of this has to be like that.
    In general, it can also be dangerous and get out of control, when we know it's out of control, when we can't consciously control whether we want to do something to relax us, then addiction is created.
    When you look, fetishes are created there, and they are some images, only they are in the head, which can be more dangerous than just looking in the picture or video, as I said.

    if you do it right it discharges sexual tension in a wholesome way,
    if you do it wrong it will take you back in the wrong direction.

    The way I see it, your body can't tell the difference between an edge and an orgasm. Dopamine only appears when predictions are wrong, that is, your "edge" behavior is not part of your body's prediction system and will be regarded as part of the orgasm. And your body will learn that what you did when you were on the edge caused pleasure, or led to the climax. Successful predictions do not result in large amounts of dopamine being secreted. What we need to do is to be the transporter of dopamine, ensuring that the secretion of dopamine is consistent with our free will. Pay special attention to food and sex, even "borderline" behaviors. Neural learning is based on strengthening the connection between similar happenings. In other words, the more you do something "on the edge" at the same time, the more your body will learn.
