What do you think of Dr.Trish Leigh, the Karen of Nofap?

What's wrong with her?

 

I did around a year and a half ago. I thought she was spreading the word about the dangers of porn really well back then. I don't know if she changed her message since but I thought her content was really good.

 

She is posting NoFap content on her youtube channel. Dr. Trish has been posting content consistently for awhile. I think she has been posting for years now. Some of my favorite NoFap YouTubers, either had a YouTube channel decline because people lost interest or stopped posting regular NoFap content.

 

She's fine but I never really learnt anything from her videos that I didn't already know, which may say more about me than her I guess. I think I just relate more to those who have lived it themselves, rather than just studied it. Her title gives greater credence to the legitimacy of porn addiction though so that's good.

 

I'm glad that she exists to actually help people and be an advocate of anti-porn so that's a huge plus.

I just checked her channel on youtube and watched different videos. I see she has a lot of rich content and different knowledge from the common on the internet. Especially the wiring and rewiring videos and contents like using Instagram effect. She explains things in easy language. I spent about two decades to learn what she is explaining by trial and error. But I am glad that people are starting to speak up especially professionals in the medical field.

 

She's not a "Karen" she's a Neuroscientist. She also supports us too. So, what do you think? I think she's good. I just wish we had better studies out there in the field.

 

I watched her stuff I think over a year ago, I haven't checked her channel recently but I thought she was doing work. We need to also keep in mind that pornography addiction still is not officially recognized in the field of medicine, it's still debated which I personally find strange because for some years now there have been studies showing the harmful effects of it. But point is people like her have to do their own studies to help people because most professionals are not taught that by their educational institutions that pornography is even a problem.

 

She's great, she's extremely knowledgeable on the subject. She just talks too much and takes forever to explain. Used to watch her

 

She is a particular flavor of the NoFap Ethos. There are many out there, and I think no matter who you are or what your personality or background is, so long as you are genuine and honest, it is good that you are trying to aid in this cause. She has lot of schooling and study behind her reasoning, and her approach I think is definitely guided by it. I looked into her stuff for a while, but I found another voice that I think was more suited to me personally (Mark Queppet). I have a friend though who has had great success on his NoFap walk(over a year sober) and he was a fan of her videos(as well as others)

 

Absolutely agree. This "Karen" thing is a way of disrespecting women, and men on this site should not being doing that. We can agree with or disagree, desire her or not, but we should also respect her qualifications and that she's not just someone we can dismiss with a name.

Also, we need to get real about who we are and what we want. If you're a straight man, dating a "Karen" and having lots of great sex with her is your goal, and you'll be lucky if you recover from your addiction and find her. Stop dissing "Karen".

 

As a guy who followed the "Karen" meme Ironically of course, I really think that the meaning of the joke is too far gone at this point. I always saw the Joke making fun of middle aged self-richeous "ladies" attacking teenagers for no reason, now the joke is meaningless now because everybody uses it to mock women regardless of context. Sort of like the words, s*mp, ists and phobes. Everybody uses these words to attack people that they don't agree with and are shocked to find out these words have little to no meaning anymore. Also, Karen is the name of my Grandmother, and you would all be surprised of how sweet she really is.
