Yes some people can find filters make things worse as they see it as a temptation to try and are not as vigilant. I believe should experiment and go by the results. For me filters do not work. I practice acceptance that I cannot control my porn addiction and therefore must not engage in it in any manner. The best way to break a bad habit is to replace it.. For me exercise or a good book. Slowly my brain will learn to associate loneliness/disappointment reading or exercise.
Excellent post! I think eventually the ones who make it to 120 days or more leave this site and find better things to do with their lives. I think there does need to be a termination phase and a period where one just releases any notion or idea that they were once addicted. There is a time to leave it behind and forget the past and move on to a better future. I think that's why we don't see so many counter statuses on here that say "365 days since last relapse"....
thanks for the post , felt enlightened by reading this , now i know , although most of us have the desire but the knowledge is half , i myself have had a habit of falling back when the withdrawal gets worse , i can beat this symptoms and this altogether now i think, thanks for the wonderful post man.
Just relapsed after 41 days ... get rid of smartphones ... so true. What sucked was the O wasn't even pleasurable. Thank you for your post, as I see what went wrong . I'll try again. (ps. was first try after joining community, this is already working!)
Anything written by Patrick Carnes is a must read for anyone wanting to understand the underlining reasons why we act out and the cycle of the addiction beyond just the "reboot" brain info that is passed around on here. He is the expert in this field.

We are here and there. But, once the problem is fixed, the problem is fixed. For the older here, the problem has been fixed for more than a decade. Just know, it is fixable. Much love. William.
