Lack of meaning in life

    You lnow I recently accepted the fact that the main issie for me is lack of a clear meaning in life. Like give up porn for what? I revently had severe value system turned upside down. I mean the idea that life is full of beauty , yeah maybe. I am not saying that life has no meaning but I have no meaning. I mean life seems pretty hard and full of suffering snd uncertainty. Plus if pleasure is the msin goal how do I decide what s the best. I mean thee is pleasure in having a higher cause like discovering the cure for cancer or something like that. And soooo many people seem satisfied in daily illusions. It s like I am trying to swim but I can t find the sea. Just void and chaos. Dont know wha ts good or bad. Basically without direction. I dont have a connecting line just shards of broken glass.

    If your main goal is pleasure then good luck, whoever told you that is an idiot. There is a reason why the tragedy is the epitome of the arts, there's a reason why myth is built on suffering and adversity, there's a reason why the representation of the world since pre-civilization was the serpent eating its tail, and there's a reason that the oldest story ever recorded is the story of facing the dragon. Life is suffering, life is tragic, life is a battle, you're just one person that barely knows anything in the face of the vast complexity of the universe, but that's why the hero in every old story is severely flawed and that is why one of the highest values of nobility is courage. Don't look for an answer on here, be courageous and go out into the world and find it for yourself while stumbling all the way.
