So I'm roughly 20 days in and I noticed my sex drive be has gone up a little, the problem is I've had dreams about watching porn but magically my subconscious stopped me from following through in the dream. Has this happened for anyone else and any advice to stop dreaming about porn?

  2. At this point in abstinence dreams like this are quite common. Your brain is trying any way it can to get what it wants and what it is used to. This will start to calm down.
Remember it is just a dream and try not to let it birbot you.

  3. Yes, this has also happened to me. Sometimes they are flashbacks from what I've already seen and some are new scenarios my mind makes up.

The best you can do that doesn't require any effort is to ride them out and not relapse. You forget most dreams when you wake up, so if you don't give them thought when you wake up they will disappear.

However, if you want to actively avoid them I would suggest studying up on lucid dreaming. You can have more control of your dreams that way.

    All the best!

It could be till day 30, max 40, at that point they are gone, but not for 99%

I've been clean for over 200 days and I still have dreams about watching porn sometimes. I'll wake up in the night, sweating and breathing heavily. At first, there's a feeling of fear, a feeling that I've relapsed, and that I've slipped back into my old habits. After a few moments, I calm down, realize it was just a dream, and I move on. It's a reminder of what things were like before, and of why I'm doing this in the first place.

Don't worry about the dreams. If they cause you unease, take that as a sign that your recovery is important to you.

  6. I still have porn dreams at 50+ days.

I hate having them now and wish I could permanently stop them. A few involved me committing sex crimes that result in prison time.

The last one I had just a few days ago involved me on a porn binge then heading out to have sex with anyone I could find.

As @Ridley said, it’s a reminder of why I’m quitting porn. I don’t want to be a sex crazed animal.

Sometimes I have this kind of dream where I'm at home (or somewhere else), turn on the computer and log into a porn site... Them someone come near me and I freak out trying to hide it.
Sometimes, in this kind of dream, I feel the same adrenaline I usually feel when browsing porn sites. It's so real!!
Them, the fear I start to feel is pretty much real, too.
Even when i take a nap I have this kind of dream... Just to wake up so frustrated and scared.

    Birbot?

  9. It's a good sign especially the fact that you stop yourself in the dream. Unfortunately nothing you can do about it. But dreams are a means of coping with aspects of your real lifr so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
