Desperate newbie

    Hey guys. I’m a 22 year old combat medic in the United States Army, been in for four years, currently deployed.
    I’ve just signed up on NoFap about 10 minutes ago. I signed up after doing PMO for the second night in a row. I’ve tried quitting on my own 100s and 100s of times, but I fail miserably every single time. I’m solidly addicted, and typically can’t stay away for more than a few days. I need you guys. Most dudes in the army are 100% down with pmo and talk about it, brag about it, and see it as being manly. But I need to break this, for me, and for my wife. She knows that I struggle, and is supportive, but I haven’t been able to kick it. So I’m here, begging you guys to take me in as one of you, because I’m so done, and so drained by pornography.

    First of all, thank you for your service. And thanks for joining the site and making this move to fight this addiction forreal. It's so awesome you have a wife who is in the know and is supportive. I encourage you to engage on this site regularly (as your time permits) say hello to other new fapstronauts, read success stories, start a journal thread on the age 20-24 subsection of the forums (a ton of people have their own journals on there, including me). Read through that start up guide that was emailed to you when you made the account. And the thing that's really changed things for me is taking it one day at a time. Refusing to lose today. Hour by hour. Best of wishes, let's do this!
