Day 0 of 14 day challenge- Tips?

    Hey guys,

    Decided to do the 14 day challenge starting tomorrow, no PMO. Was wondering if anyone had any advice/tips in order to do this? I feel like my phone is my enemy so maybe if i turn all my devices off before I go to bed i'll be okay.

    I get urges real bad and its hard to ignore them, any tips on how to get over them?

    Figuring I'd start small to start with then increase the days, Rome wasn't built in a day right?

    Right, but the VISION of building Rome was not small at all.You get what you SETTLE for in life and if you settle for 14 days of NoFap and see that as just a « challenge » and not a LIFESTYLE, you’re done, the relapse is on it’s way buddy ! You’re already starting small/making small steps by DEFAULT when you dedicate every single seconds of your life to NoFap and do that every day.What do you expect after 14 days ? That you’ll be « cured » and then magically able to do PMO without having any negative effects from it ? Fuck the 14 days, PMO sucks and will ruin your life.Commit to NoFap forever and start now, good luck !

  5. I think for some people setting small goals like this actually helps them. I can see how taking something you leaned on for your whole life away for the rest of your life can seem impossible. Setting up small goals is ok with me but not if you get to 14 days and then jerk off. If you make it keep pushing!

    Honestly, from my own experience and from what I've learned, you'll NEVER be able to succeed on NoFap unless you adopt the "don't count the days, make the days count" mentality and FULLY commit to that shit.Time is an illusion.What's really going on is that NoFap is our greatest path while PMO is just a darker/lower/shitty/miserbale path where we'll only find pain and misery, period.Therefore, commiting to NoFap for only a period of time is just nonsense !
     
  7. I’m not saying it’s ok to commit for a short period of time. I thought we were talking about setting a reasonable goal to reach during your new streak. You and I both know relapses happen...I think setting goals is important.

    For example...my last streak was 21 days. My new goal is to break that. I didn’t end commitment with nofap...I set a goal to beat my previous streak and beyond.

    I think I agree with both of you on this one, I can't just think about the short term I have to think long term. At the same time setting goals and rewards for days without milestones (e.g. 14 days without- ice cream, 30 days without- new xbox game, 60 days without etc) might give me some extra motivation

    I KNEW that "relapses happen...", yes.But what I know NOW is that relapses happen UNLESS you commit to NoFap like I've just explained.If there's still that thing in you that says that "relapses happen..." guess what ? Relapses will happen ! Guaranteed ! You have to CHANGE in a DEEP/CORE/SOUL level if you wanna do this man ! I'm personally considering that I am definitely NOT going to relapse EVER AGAIN and I'm 100% SURE about this ! I just KNOW it ! I'm going to be successful on NoFap, in fact I'm ALREADY successful on NoFap ! My success is GUARANTEED ! I'm not even doupting about myself and/or fearing any urges or any of that shit dude, fuck that ! My choice is MADE: I'm COMMITED to NoFap forever and I'm happy to be on NoFap ! That's it, period, end of the story.There's NOTHING for me in PMO, I KNOW where that shit is going to take me ! I've relapsed and suffered enough times to FINALLY realize that PMO is the fucking enemy and that NoFap is my greatest life possible ! Now that I have that REALIZATION nothing can stop me !

  10. That’s excellent, my man! I’m very happy and excited for you.

    I guess the only thing I’m saying here is that what works for you 100%....may not work for others. It may be too overwhelming and I think setting small goals for streaks can help some people....especially people who are new to nofap.

    But with all that set aside I love your perspective and motivation!

    Im a very new fapstonaut, i had 2 relapses and endured 1 week more or less in both attemps. Im going for the same challenge, two weeks, for now...

    So, let me tell you this:

    My version, what can you expect in your 2 weeks challenge:
    - Im in a very close call to do PMO in this very right moment.
    - This is fundamented in my very new fapstonaut experience, based in what i felt in my very little challenges and relapses (had the same experience in all the relapses)
    - You undertook a 2 weeks challenge, at the start you will be very confident about dont do PMO ever again (First 3-4 days)
    - After day 5 you will start to feel kinda horny. You will start to search excuses for do it one time.
    - Day 6 on wards: Nightmare, hell on earth, call however you want. All people here had relapses, but i think the newbies like me are not accustomed to be solid-disciplined yet and we are more exposed to relapse in the first or second week. I think at that point (to be honest) it will be really hard for you to no relapse.

    Keep in mind that in that point (Day 6-7), you will have already very nice benefits. And loss them will be more painful than keep your stack alive.

    What you can expect to loss if you relapse in days 6-7:


    - Your depression shield: When you relapse, you start really really fast to feel miserable again. Keep the sperm in the eggs make you dont feel depressed, is almost like a cure.
    - Your social shield: When you have a 5 days stack, you feel a bit fine around people. If you relapse, you will feel like shit around other peoples.
    - Your woman shield: For now, to talk to real woman, definitely, you should have your woman shield up. Woman know if you are out of that shield very easy. They will take adventage.
    - You will loss it for nothing: After do PMO, just after eyaculate, you will feel like it was completely unnesesary. The desires before PMO were WAY STRONGER than the satisfaction after do it. Realization that PMO no worth. Desires are a lie.

    Thanks for the advice I think your absolutely right day 5-6 I will be tempted/make excuses/"just one time" etc but I will not do it this time round.

    I'm gonna hide all my devices and turn them off at night, only go to bed when im ready to sleep etc

    Only thing I worried about is sex dreams, I mean this is how badly I'm addicted- sometimes I dream about porn and then I wake up and feel horny as f*** so I guess I need to break that cycle and just get out of bed read for a while and then go back to bed

    Day 1.

    Managed to not PMO last night which was good, hiding my phone and devices away from my bedroom was a good idea, going to the gym now gonna be a good day.

    Been a decent day, worried about the night though as its usually when i PMO, not feeling too tempted though but in a few days it might get rough especially if I'm not feeling great. Gonna power through it though and take my mind off things

    Something I found really worked was talking to friends, preferably male. Just about football or anything. Try this see how it works? Or something like Xbox or PS4

    Day 2.

    Slept like a baby last night, now i've removed that distraction from my bedroom I fall asleep much quicker

    Woke up and actually felt good this morning

    The danger in setting this kind of goal is that, after 14 days you feel like you succeded (and you did) and give yourself the permission to relapse.

    Helps a lot of people to set goals like that, but I agree that not counting the days and just living with the absolute certainty that you’re doing something good for you, that will bring so many benefits for you in your head will take you further.
