Can you feel the effects of nofap?

    I'm a teen who's always been skinny. I'm planning to gain muscle while also controlling my addiction. Any tips?

    Yes stay skinny and just eat good food. You must build up strength inside, not outside. There are people here that will help you because it helps them. Then you will help people and change inside which will make your outside beautiful whether you are skinny or a muscle guy.
     
  3. Hi. Welcome to forum!

    Make sure you create a personal journal thread in Reboot Logs section and blog there on a regular basis. As well as just generally be active participant in various forum discussions. I recommend this to everybody new here because it's the major thing that helped me when I was first starting. Just lurking on forums, reading and learning is great. But it usually is so much more powerful to engage. It helps to keep us motivated and accountable when we are active part of community. And keeps this in front of our minds so we don't forget about importance of it and slip away in our old habits. Sharing is also therapeutic. This is a major reason why AA meetings work so good. But that was developed before internet era. These days we can get most of the same benefits online through communities like this. So don't underestimate the power of active participation.

    I would also like to suggest you to look into mindfulness meditation. It has helped me personally tremendously to learn how to deal with urges and triggers. It takes a while to get good at it and notice results, so you need to be consistent with it, but once you do it's very powerful. It has been used by sages for thousands of years to deal with various issues of the mind. Even Jesus himself meditated by going into silence and solitude and praying, then just sitting still and listening to God by being mindful. And in recent decades the science is also catching up to what ancient sages have know for centuries. Meditation these days are widely used as very effective tool by psychologists for treating addiction and by neurologists for supporting recovery of the brain. It is a great exercise for the brain the same way as jogging is great exercise for the body. Check out this Ted talk, it gives a good idea of what's it about when it comes to philosophy. As far as practical side of it there is this awesome smartphone app called Headspace for guided meditations to get you started.

    try to hit a gym? For me its a good sollution for my addiction, and also gain some muscle plus make socialize with other people

    U dont have to be a popeye with big arm, jacked out, sixpack like,,,just aim for the health,, im a skinny person too,,, but i have power and muscullar (not big but shred), and it boost my confidence also


    Give it a try,, or you can youtube it first, i recomended AthleanX,

    Thanks! I have already started pursuing a training program. I hope to share my results when I see them.
    P.S. I'm more of an only calisthenics guy so I watch youtubers such as training pal and bar brothers.
    P.S.S. like you I also prefer strength over looks when it comes to exercising.

    Hey, good for you man, I think Nofap could help you with your goals actually. Since cutting out porn/masturbating my testosterone has skyrocketed, which has helped me a lot in the gym. I’m 24 so a bit older than you and have been consistently working out for about 5 years, but seriously nofap has really boosted my results.

    For you, I would suggest having a good diet and exercising regularly. I have always really enjoyed lifting/running, but since starting nofap i have tried new things, and one of them is yoga. Consistently practicing yoga has allowed me to always be limber and ready to make the most of my workouts. Not saying you should do it, but if you want, it would really give you a nice start on your fitness journey.

    One last thing, there’s nothing wrong with being skinny. Growing up a bit on the chubbier side, I actually always envied people who were skinner rather than fatter lol. Everybody is different so don’t feel bad about how you naturally are, because you can always improve. Nofap will teach you to start loving yourself, it definitely has brought me to doing that.

    Eat. A Lot. Diet is insanely important. If you’re trying to gain muscle, chicken, steak, or fish. Like all the time. But exercise and healthy foods as well
