So I've reached day 50, still 40 days to go until my first successful 90-day reboot. I'd like to attribute this personal milestone to one character trait I'm trying to build. I talk about it constantly on the NoFap forums. DISCIPLINE More than anything else... discipline is the biggest factor. The lack of discipline often results on good habits slacking and procrastination. Discipline however... if you have discipline, you have the ability say NO to the bad things and YES to the good things. Snooze alarm? NO. GET UP. Procrastinate? NO. DO THAT THING. Fap? NO. TAKE A COLD SHOWER. Drink more water? YES. DRINK UP. Fast food? NO. STUFF YOUR FACE WITH REAL FOODS. Cold outside? GO FOR A RUN. Impulse purchase? NO. SAVE THOSE $$$ See that girl? APPROACH HER. Exams? BEGIN EARLY. NO to the bad stuff. YES to the good stuff. Prove it to yourself.
What is interesting, though, is that to build discipline, one needs... discipline. Maybe this is why it's so difficult to build it in the first place. Because you have to start with this handful of discipline that you have initially. And I think this is universal, it does not pertain to PMO addicts, but to all people. You may abstain from PMO but still have a shitty and undisciplined life.
Difficult yes, but not impossible. "If your first decision of the day is to snooze your alarm, then you've already failed your first test of the day"
