Welcome! Do you want to become more fit and take on the daily discipline of doing morning push-ups? Here's how it will work: Set a number of push-ups that you can realistically do every morning (for example 5, 10, or 20). Set how your push-ups will increase as you progress (for example add on one push-up per day or every week). Commit to doing the push-ups every morning (post your commitment on your journal or this thread!) Record your progress here on this thread or on your journal. If you miss a day or have trouble doing them, post about it and keep moving forward! Some other ideas: You could do one push-up for everyday that you have off PMO. You could put a link to this thread in your signature so you can track your progress. You could set a goal such as when you get to 50 push-ups, you don't add anymore. If you forget to do them in the morning, do them later in the day!! I hope you will join me in taking on this challenge, I will mark my progress on this page and I hope you do the same. I think there is something really awesome about starting the day off with morning push-ups.
My personal goals and plan: I want to start with a baseline of 20 push-ups per morning and add one per day for everyday I have off PMO. I have 3 days off PMO today so that means I need to do 23. I have already done this. My ultimate goal is to awake each morning and after my prayers and meditation do 100 push-ups.
Great idea! I'm going to commit to a baseline of 20 pushups each morning, plus however many days I've been PMO free time's by two. (starting from now... as I doubt I can do 400ish pushups) If I can't manage it in one go, I'll take 60 second breaks until they're completed. So today is 20 + (1 x 2) = 22. Today: Completed in one set. Feels good!
I'll start with 10 push-ups and add 1 for each day of no porn = 16 push-ups for today. 16 pushups day 1 17 day 2 18 day 3 (they are getting harder to do) 19 day 4 20 day 5 Now I will do sets in consecutive order. Sets tied to my no P goal and the other set a baseline of 10 push-ups. 21 day 6 (10 - normal 6 - "proper way" 5 - "proper way") 22 day 7 - missed 23 day 8 - missed 24 day 9 - 69 - 20 x 3 sets. 9 x 1 set "proper way" (pw) to make up for 2 days skipped 25 day 10 26 day
Yeah, it looks like you have the "link" part down. If you want to name it something like "push-up challenge," simply write push-up challenge and highlight it and then press the link button. This saves you from having the long link in your signature.
I like this idea! I did 20 push ups this morning. But i had a relapse today after 5 days so i gotta try harder.
I'm going to start doing this. Been a bit lax with exercise recently so need to build the habit back. Though I do super slow reps so I might do less.
Here is a video on the right way to do pushups: I suggest you watch this, because this way you handle the right muscle areas. Peace!
I was doing morning push-ups a while ago, but fell out of the habit. I'll jump in here though, you guys will keep me motivated. 20 + (day of August) = 21 today, done
Im doing 50 everyday for 1 week and today is the last day. Not doing straight 50 though. Just trying to achieve that number. I notice that I am feeling more tough. Holding my shoulder and it feels hard
Checking in for today. 20 + (4 x 2) = 28 pushups. Completed in one set. I've switched to doing these on my fists with elevated feet to add a bit of resistance.
Push-ups 23-26: I'm so happy to see so many people taking on the challenge! Keep it up. Time for me to do 27 today!
Thanks! The next part is up if you want to check it out Completed my push ups today. 20 + (5 x 2) = 30. Completed in one set. Keep going everyone!
