Maybe it's okay if you play running back in the NFL, but for every day bro's it's unnecessary. Kettlebell training once or twice a week is sufficient. It's the cardio that you should work hard to maintain since heart disease is still the number one killer. A lot of these gym bro's couldn't run 5 miles easily without dying or breathing heavily. If it's for a professional sport that's one thing - it's to be expected that if you want to excel in one domain you will have to sacrifice other domains. I was talking about ordinary gym rats who boast about being super fit while having zero cardiovascular endurance. That's because of the football. Pure sprinters/squatters would struggle to finish 5k not to mention 21k.
