Hi guys, I am new here, first post. Just wanted to say on the topic of diabetes - i have also developed insulin resistance and i am in otherwise perfect shape, but because of the constantly relapsing PMO cycle, i started developing all sorts of physical health issues - brain fog, depression, extreme fatigue, chest pain, hormonal disorders. I have been masturbating since I was 11 years old, now i am 39. I have never thought this would have such profound impact on my health, but it does. I went to numerous doctors which for years could not find nothing wrong with me, declared me perfectly healthy. At the same time, I could barely walk up the stairs, i had to take midday naps everyday, i got addicted to caffeine just to stay awake, and i lost interest in everything. Now i am on Antidepressants, Thyroid medication, and antipsychotics to try and keep everything in check, but i realized recently its all because of the PMO.

For me i would even say i find that the real trigger is watching porn, not so much the masturbation itself - it just does something to my brain and disrupts my whole body homeostasis. I am at a point where i get the symptoms even if I watch porn without masturbating at all.

Welcome bro. Go on hard mode nofap. Me too last time after went on nofap for few days my symtoms disappeared but went I watch porn without masturbation, the symtoms came back in severe way. Finally I don't watch porn anymore and I feel cured though I am on nofap for less than 2 months. Waiting to reach 4 months.

Very similar to my own story. It started with binge MO sessions when I was 13, progressed into daily binge PMO sessions when I was 21 (discovery of high speed internet) and never stopped (38yo now). I developed exactly the same health problems you described except of chest pain. I was literally a walking zombie. My advise would be to go in hard mode for at least half a year (a year would be even better). Get rid of antidepressants (slowly to not suffer too much withdrawals) and antipsychotics (my god antipsychotics to battle fatigue and depression, really? How f...ed up has medical system become?). Do you have measured free thyroid hormones imbalance (hypo or hyperthyroidism)? If not, get rid of that crap too. Start taking 15 mg of Zinc, Omega3 fatty acids (a large spoon of fish oil will do), vitamin D supplements, get on unprocessed diet, get 30 min of sunbath, sleep 7-9h a day, aerobic exercise 5-6 days a week. Be warned, you'll probably get even more sick in the fist few months of abstention (it took me around 5 months to stabilize somewhat both times I made it past 3 months), but it does get better. I still bitch about how bad I feel some days, but it's nothing compared to the days when I was still an active daily binge masturbator. If you see no improvements after 6 months, you can still go back on medication, but man, you're on some serious stuff. Combination of SSRIs, antipsychotics and thyroids can FU even a perfectly heathy individual. These drugs have some serious side effects by themselves as they can't target specific brain and metabolism regions. Combining them is like playing with fire.

  8. I'm currently transforming from this horrible head pressure and dizziness that feels like you're being pushed around to a feeling where I feel like I float in the ocean so things are getting better. Would you recommend lifting weights at this stage or should I wait and just continue my daily biking and walks that I've done so far?

Started end of may 2018, 170 days monk mode. Then for 5 months had also sex 2 times per month. Masturbated a total of 12 times from january to march, 3 times just masturbation, then with pics girls sent me on a dating app, then 3 times with porn in march/april.

I think that was a pretty good year, but i'm feeling as low as when i started. The thing is not going upward for me, after a year i can't say i got better, if something, i got worst.

mean u didn't fapp for 14 months yet u didn't see any changes?

  11. You might've been at the turning point, there have been reports of users getting better after 14 months of abstinence. We are all different, but it's safe to say if a person has PMO'd daily for 15-20+ years, then he's in for a rough ride. Then there's the whole kindling aspect that makes withdrawals worse after each subsequent relapse, especially if binged/edged.

You have to decide based on how it makes you feel. I believe daily aerobic exercise is essential as it gives you endorphins (PMO substitute) and lowers cortisol levels. I also did weightlifting 2-3 times a week, but to be honest, I didn't miss it when I skipped it. Going without aerobic exercise for a few days was the time when withdrawals became unbearable. I was afraid I'd become dependent on it, but it didn't happen. It has become less important to do aerobic exercise to feel normal after 4-5 months of abstinence.

No. I was diagnosed with prediabetes stage (type 2) when I was 34 yo. Doc advised me to go on low dosage diabetes meds. I answered him no, not before I do some long suggested lifestyle changes. I prepared a plan and all what I'd do, but in reality all I did was I stopped eating street junk food, start sleeping 8-9 hours a day and take 8 km (5 miles) brisk walks in nature every morning. In 2 months time my blood sugar levels were back inside normal parameters and I had no problems with sugar levels since then.

I have hard time believing that excessive masturbation is to blame for diabetes. I believe it's partly genetics and party unhealthy lifestyle. My grandma had diabetes so genetics is there and my sedentary lifestyle plus lots of processed junk food didn't help with maintaining normal sugar levels either.

I stopped eating processed food altogether and never eat street junk food anymore. I try to stay more physically active, but I'm probably not enough. I lost 20 pounds since then, so my weight is normal now. Not that I was fat before, but was getting a bit heavy around the belt.

  20. It's been a couple of months since I lifted the weights. It'd probably be the best to start with very light weights and see how it feels, and if it's tolerable, then proceed gradually to heavier weights over the next few months. I don't intend to get big muscles, all I care about is I get a good feeling afterwards. When I do aerobic exercise for a few minutes the floating feeling goes away like stationary jumping jacks for example where you don't jump, but lift the arms and move the legs to the side.
