Hello, checking in on the end of my 6th day. I hope that everyone is doing well and persevering. For those of you who are struggling and might have relapsed, here is an inspirational quote from Serena Williams: "A champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall." Good luck everyone and may God bless you.
Day 4 Challenge Check in Very difficult this morning with a raging hard on. Wife asleep Could have MO there on in the shower. Instead up and made a cup of tea for both of us and planning the day ahead.
Words of wisdom I have picked up along the way Congratulationsand keep up the good work. I picked up this from other people who are wiser than me: 'Thank you everybody for your wisdom and help. I've summed up all your ideas in a list below. Why we should be alarmed and remain vigilant every second of our lives: 1. Addiction has no cure. People who quit alcohol, drugs, or PMO are addicts forever, the only difference is they manage to control their urges every second of their life. If they don't control them, they can relapse any time. This is the secret of their success. There's no other way than self-discipline. 2. Binging is extremely dangerous, especially if it comes after a longer period ofabstinence, because it is accompanied by an increaseddesire to PMO and by a cocktail of emotions and sensations that hit our brain extremely hard. The neuroplastic changes are much more severe after binging. That means our addiction will become much more powerful after we binge. 3. When we relapse after a longer period of being clean, we don't start where we left off, but it's as if we have never stopped our addiction. 4. Our brain will try to sabotage our efforts to quit PMO. We have to listen to our principles, not to our brain, because our brain will sometimes try to rationalizePMO-ing. Our brain craves the high, the reward, so it will invent all sorts of reasons and excusesfor PMO-ing. 5. We may think that if we relapse or binge less and less often we'll improve our situation. But if we read points 1-4 listed above, we'll realize that, even if we relapse or binge less often, we'll still become worse andworse. This is because our addiction will carve its waydeeper and deeper into our brain each time we relapse and/orbinge. It doesn't matter how long our periods of abstinence are. Let's say we have managed tostay clean for 10 years. If we relapse and/or binge after these 10 years of abstinence, ouraddiction will come back much stronger, as if we have neverstopped PMO-ing during those 10 years. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Day 108 0f unknown number. 120 was original, then, 180 challenge, then 275 per abstinence contract with wife, then 365 day all in hardmode. Then our last man standing forever challenge, God has a calling for us just answer it, surrender and submit to continuous improvement and the process. Godspeed
Two awesome boners so far today what did I choose to do with that energy it's pointed its way to the coffee maker. ENERGY CAN NEITHER BE CREATED NOR DESTROYED; ENERGY CAN ONLY BE TRANSFERRED OR CHANGED FROM ONE FORM TO ANOTHER. law of Conservation of Energy. first of all lets agree that sexual urges is Energy. I am not sure about the part of the statement of " energy can neither be created " . but I am going to highlight on the next part. Energy can't be destroyed. Most of us try to suppress our sexual thoughs and sexual urges, and we always end up failing to avoid PMO and we become in a worst situation. however, if we try to substitute this energy with sports or doing any kind of hobby, then our sexual thoughts disappear. therefore we have to transform these urges into another energy. Do you want a proof ? ok let's thin about COLD SHOWERS. when we have urges and we do cold showers, we feel much better and the sexual energy just vanish. why ? because our body is using all the energy to fight coldness ( which is stress ). hence we are talking about transferring energy from urges into another energy which fighting stress. second proof, is Fasting. when people do 4 days water fasting , they find themselves free from these sexual thoughts and urges. why ? because our body is using all the energy to survive to keep the body functioning in his optimum way. God bless you all brothers and sisters. and hope it really helps
This is part of God's work interesting enough I came across this quote that I got her early in my journey and then look what happened to me yesterday in the theater energy amazing use it God bless
I find this interesting scripture on dry orgasms just food for thought but this is actual scripture, is it misinterpreted? Leviticus 15 16-18 16“ ‘When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Dry orgasm then?? Lol interesting read
Day 5 and I have been pretty much white knuckling it. I just want to have a clear head and stop all of this addictive behavior.
God provides all the instruments that you need to fix yourself you just need to Grass them and use them apply them and be disciplined and have commitment God bless you
I am trying for 90 days to be realistic but I want to learn who I am without sex. Porn was never my issue but masturbation and orgasm have always controlled my life.
By no means am I even going to think about following this and please you don't either be vigilant in about what you see and read on the internet always be skeptical. God creates he does not destroy
104th day. Cruising - powerful beyond belief. I may get an odd urge now and again - i laugh in the face of urges, they have no chance!..
Still standing. It has been a little more difficult the last few days. I find that distraction with other tasks is important when the urges get worse.
Noon check in our numbers are rising let's pray over our abilities to let God recruit our strengths towards ou r.c battles we wage war against the scourge of pmo. God thank you for this fellowship of men to stand up and fight this demon, rebuke it out loud and it makes it happen Godspeed day 108, body still trying to fight, spirit is strong, heart remains firm. Mind controls brain, brain controls body Amen
