A little while ago, a friend of mine shared this video through facebook: an insight into David Nutt, an English psychiatrist and former drug adviser. Nutt's (and others') studies on psychedelics provide fascinating insights into how substances such as LSD affect the brain, and how such drugs could be used to treat mental disorders/ diseases including addiction. It makes me wonder if such activated 'inter-connectivity', as discussed in the video - could be achieved through meditation, and whether meditation could help to treat addiction using this mechanism too. What do you guys/girls think?
I agree with Nutt that alcohol is the most dangerous drug.. I really don't understand how alcohol and cigarettes are openly legal, in addition to a host of pharmaceuticals.. When drugs that open your mind and have been credited to innovative thinking are 'wronged' by almost all. I've taken LSD a few times and it has always altered the way I perceive the world, for the most part in a positive way. That being said it's super lucid and has been shown to cause mania. My concern is that I could become like my father where taking these drugs changed his life in a bad way, in his case onsetting bipolar disorder.
It's highly possible LSD could treat addiction but I think you'd have to really be able to tweak the dosage, the length of effects and accompany it with some type of therapy. Even then it might just cause some people to have a bad trip. LsD affects everyone so insidually that it's hard to predict.
I actually got some LSD for my birthday and I tripped once last weekend and once the weekend before. I dont know if its psychological but its doing wonders for me in terms of minimizing the cravings.
Remember that people like Whitey Bulger and the Unabomber were relatively normal people before they touched LSD
Adding on to that, keep in mind that all drugs are addictive. By taking LSD, you are essentially moving from porn to drugs.
You guys are parroting the propaganda straight from the mouth of the same government that told you PMO and pharmaceuticals were healthy. I'm speaking from experience but of course you know more than I do because your government told you all about it.
I don't tell you don't take LSD, do what you want, but don't sugarcoat drugs on the nofap forum, because you might influence some person's life in a wrong way with your post.
People on NoFap can make their own decisions as can I. Just like youre free to talk at length about a subject you clearly know absolutely nothing about. "Du guberment said it wus bad for you" Generally I don't take advice from the FDA nor anyone foolish enough to put their faith in them but I do appreciate your concern.
although alcohol is bad, it can't make you lose it from the 1st try I wrote right after. You should do neither LSD nor alcohol
If you think its bad then why bring it up? Cause its legal. Legal doesnt equate to healthy. Most of the world has already come to that realization.

What do you guys/girls think?[/QUOTE] Personaly I did lsd jus once, and it was and fullfiling experience. Of course I did choose the right moment, i mean i wasnt in a party. I spent a night campint in the desert, in a very safe zone. It was amazing and healing. I had so much fun but also a lot of introspection. Changed my life for good and I pretend to do it again. Research, for me, is fundamental. Check this page, I think you'll find it intersting: https://www.maps.org
Yes, totally it can be used responsibly to treat/help addiction issues. In fact, If I can´t quit this PMO I have been fighting already more than a year, I´m serious about this summer do LSD some sessions espefically focused on my addiction and life around PMO. LSD has cured my addiction to smoking, an also other neurotic illnesses I had in the past (particularly one who caused me a depression, and mad me desperate because nothing I tried seem to work) Psychedelics, used responsibly, are a true miracle. Not a magic pill but almost. However with writing this I do NOT to recommed anyone to take LSD or anythig similar eyes closed. If someone its interested in using Psychedelics as a self-improvement tool he should do it he´s own research and prepare himself seriously and expect to take possibly some serious emotional pain (that comes with all changes). As regarding meditation, Yes meditation can provide a lot of "consciousness" benefits and even more than any Pyschedelic substance/plant in the world. The Buda reached enlightment with meditation. The problem is with meditation you can be stuck for YEARS withouth getting anywhere. Psychedelics FORCE to see what you need to see and you really can´t bullshit yourself or escape this. This is what makes them particularly effective. Again, and because I know how Taboo this issue still is in today´s world, I am not advising with this post to anyone to use any substance. This post is informative and my intention is to help to anyone who needs information.
I've heard LSD was used in psychotherapy, before becoming illegal. It's a bit of a gamble. If you have predispositioned for bipolar or schizophrenia, you might just trigger it with LSD. The only way to know if you're prone to it, is to make personal DNA analysis. I've recreationally tried all kind of shit in my young years, including acid and didn't experience any long lasting side effects. A friend wasn't so lucky. He developed serious form of bipolar disorder.
