does anyone else struggle sleeping on their back? I am only able to sleep on my sides or stomach (usually sides). Is this bad for your back?
I've been a stomach sleeper my whole life. Nothing wrong with any position as long as you use the appropriate pillow.
You can still fall asleep, despite the comfort. I always found it easier to fall asleep when sleeping with somebody. But that numbness.....shit!
If the girls is a deep sleeper then no problem. Wait for her to fall asleep then gently move her. The worst type is the boomerang girl who naturally moves towards you while asleep like a heat seeking missile no matter what you do. That usually ends up with you lying awake balanced on the edge of the bed hoping not to fall off...!
Hmmm....if she keeps moving in one direction, you can get on the other side of the bed.....and thats not all, if she keeps moving......then my friend enjoy her fall off the bed.
Evolution did not want to see a girl fall out of bed. That's why such types are heat-seeking. They alway move towards you like a flower turns to the sun. So even if you get out and change sides they'll track you down. All the while sleeping...
put a pillow between your legs, it relieves pressure on your privet parts. I don't sleep on my back much either.
My friend is a brain surgeon. He explains your symptoms as follows: good thoughts are heavier than bad thoughts - so when lying on your back all the good thoughts slowly sink to the back of your head leaving your mind - located at the front of your brain - full of bad thoughts. Hence the nightmares. A bit like oil and water. Before going to bed give your head a good shake. That will help with the nightmares...
I almost always sleep on my stomach. I also move around in my sleep so I often get myself positioned diagonally across my bed.
