I don't use social media but let's face it... Social media is nothing more than pornography in disguise. You got girls posing as whores showing there cleavage, etc. It's just another form of pornography. Don't use social media it's bullshit just go to the bars and find real world women.
What if your also fighting and alcohol/drug addiction? Lol the only place I can meet girls my age is at University and they are mostly extremely immature or unavailable.
For example look at Snapchat. Don't matter what kind of friends you got or what you post, you'll see crap you'd want to look at if you fighting your addiction. I remember when I HAD Snapchat there was so many erotic pics that it was impossible not to look. I end up deleting it for good. No regrets whatsoever. There's more important things in life than kardashians or whats-her-face. As for me, bar is the last place I'd go to find a Real woman. Bars are for one night stand.
Social media can be porn if you have ratchet friends and a bunch of whores on your friends list. Social media can be extremely useful for business and networking purposes. I stay away from social media because of all the time I wasted on those sites.
I mainly only use Facebook, and if there is something inappropriate i can choose to have it not show up
I know right? It's annoying. Some chicks think that just because they show off their boobs, butt, etc. that makes them a "mature," and "grown woman." That cracks me up, because that ends up making them look even more immature. LOL XD
However, they are real world women and not pixels. One night stand or not. It doesn't matter. You will inevitably unintentionally see some girl acting slutty on FB. Wait outside at 1:30am the girls will be drunk af and easy to talk to/pick up
I'm Muslim and my friend circle is mainly Muslim. We don't openly indulge in sexualy pics and vids, so nobody shares that kinda content. Also female friends are modestly dressed so that's a plus .
I agree... the amount of times I relapsed because I saw a hot pic on social media is beyond 9000!!!!!
I agree that social media will no doubt trick you back in the wrong path but also (for me and im sure many more) alcohol will uncounciously make you want to go back to porn.Might happen during the night when youre drunk and not thinking straight or in the morning after during a hangover.Strong urges will arise and before you even notice it, will be back to square one.I had to stop the weed and alcohol to fully try to recover.Youll feel the pressure during social meetings, maybe even in family parties, but just say no.Trust me its happened to me millions of times
Thing is that now more and more porn website vids have links to share the vids on social media. Many ppl have accidentally (me included) hit those little squares under the counter wich are ment to share the urls with fb,ig,twitter. You will be going thru the feed and see the link and might cause huge temptation to see what it is.Then boom!! Youre back in the wrong path.Just sharing my experience friends.
Now and then I stumble on some random post with pornographic material and all I do is hide or block the content, but it's true, the internet these days can't be 100% porn free no matter where you go, and it sucks...
about to throw away my smartphone.... whenever I log onto facebook, instagram it takes only 10seconds for me to loose focus and search for the wrong things. just want to throw it away
Immediately get off of looking at erotic content while you're rebooting, you don't wanna pre-cum on yourself. It's all in your head man, you just gotta learn how to control the urges.
I'm saying that the content ppl post on social media is porn/highly sexualized. Which we as recovering porn addicts must avoid.
I agree with the premise of this thread, but there are a lot of other reasons that social media is basically poison. Primary among them is the fact that people only the facade that they want the rest of us to see. Usually they're either doing something "amazing" or they're whining about some political thing. It's completely fake. Most of life isn't "amazing". Then there's the whole issue of nobody being able to be in the present moment because they're concentrating on taking the "perfect" selfie and trying to garner "likes" from complete strangers. This is just psychological poison. The people who "like" something you posted yesterday can just as quickly unfriend you tomorrow. Far better to forget about that shit and just enjoy the moment. That's not to say that it has no redeeming qualities. I do find it a useful tool if I want to invite a group of friends out to do something. I can just send one message to everyone, rather than trying to text or call each individual. It can also be useful for marketing a business. Just don't sit on Facebook or some of the others for hours on end. That's a massive waste of time.
